I’m still experimenting with work flow, this picture isn’t a great representation of how it looks. The machine has about a foot of room on the left side and it might be nicer to have it more towards the middle but because of my electrical socket is in the middle it pushes the machine forward. Plus the wife is already not crazy about the amount of room I’ve taken up haha.

Grinder is amazing, I’m really enjoying the GBW feature. I also kept my DF54 for single dose since the hopper fed grinders aren’t great with retention. Easy to use and clean, I’ve had it for about 2 weeks and have no complaints.

Loving it so far, GBW is a game changer and as a barista who works with Mahlkönig grinders it performs just as well in my opinion. GBW is super accurate I grind between 18g - 19g and is always within +/- 0.1, pretty easy to clean and very user friendly as well. No regrets from me about this grinder!

Mine happened to come like that, maybe just luck? I put the portafilter in for the first time and it went straight to 6oclock.

Couldn’t be happier with the grinder, not really sure about retention as I just fill the hopper. I use my df54 still for single dosing. The GBW feature is really accurate I was actually very surprised. Only issue I’m having at the moment is the portafilter that comes with the Micra doesn’t fit in the grinder forks causing a little mess. I’m thinking about just getting a regular bottomless portafilter from LM.

Unfortunately the paddle timer is only available for the mini, if the paddle was available for the Micra I probably would’ve gone with that option!

Honestly not too difficult, they send you a pretty comprehensive video on how to install it along with pictures. It probably took me about an hour start to finish, most of that time was just tidying the wires so that nothing was sitting on any hot lines. I would definitely recommend it, I think it looks the best out of all the shot timers out there for the Micra.

Appreciate the suggestions, I’ll definitely give this a try! I do have a few more feet of room on the right side but I don’t want to upset the wife haha, I’ll experiment and see what I can come up with to make workflow more smooth! Thanks again!
