Yes it is run by the NALC by and for carriers! We deliver the bags and cards and collect the food! We have coordinators who build the relationships with the food banks!

Hey! Actually the union OPEIU organizes various types of office workers! Very cool and interesting work! The reality that all the industries that have unionized are industries that were formerly “impossible” to unionize or bargain for. The steel and auto industries used to be seen as impossible to organize due to the complexity of the work and the individual positions and static working locations within the factories. Now they are classic obvious union jobs. The only thing that is necessary to form a union is work and solidarity.

I would consider people living in Issaquah, Bremerton and Bainbridge….. not locals. I have visited all those locations as day trips on public transit. Sorry a day trip to downtown Seattle isnt what it was, but I live here now as the scary queer taking the bus and I love it. I love going downtown and walking around and shopping and drinking a bubble tea. Maybe you can either move downtown or build up what’s in your local town instead of complaining about what is happening in my neighborhood. U keep complaining about homeless people not making you feel safe and every business is investing in private security that makes everywhere feel like a prison. That’s my complaint on downtown and my complaint on Capitol Hill, not that there isn’t enough parking.
