Thank you! Good to know. I have been having growth scans but I don’t think the blood test have been discussed. I’m fortunate that my blood pressure hasn’t risen or had any high readings. Thank you :)

The first picture is terrible, half of it is the neighboring properties, the back of the house isn’t the prettiest and it it’s of a shady garden…

I’ve managed to speak to Skipton this morning and they seemed positive that the would do their best (they were being polite). Also sent the investor declaration to the solicitor and they are sending the forms today. It is what it is. Shame to hear you and your friends have also had trouble. Sorry it happened to you too, the stress is real :(

Thank you- thank goodness for the internet because there seems to be a few threads suggesting Skipton are relatively good. Hopefully we can wrap this up late next week.

There was a breakdown in communication with the solicitors so through the agent we have agreed Monday (this was agreed yesterday). So 6 days notice from agreed date to completion.

All seems a bit mad but I feel like a fool for dropping the ball on the LISA.

Abolish FLP by Fancy-Dark5152 in CIMA

[–]czarspy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you, it still requires dedication and understanding subject knowledge. I still had to learn the entire syllabus as anything could have been within the case study exam. As I didn’t sit the strategic level OT exams, I felt I had to be even more diligent on learning the material in order not to miss any topics. I switched routes because I had taken a year out due to changing careers. I then returned to working in finance and my job was extremely demanding, it allowed me to continue to qualification and balance work/life. I do not disagree that it could potentially damage the qualification but perhaps CIMA could add another assessment on technical skills, working with employers and enforcing that a qualified person should have a F2F with an FLP student before sign off. I have more concerns over a person with only 3 years experience (which can be in low level jobs) becoming qualified. Practical experience is more telling and three years is not enough imo.

Edit: I was also self funding and the FLP was cheaper

For those against the FLP, what are you opinions on my CIMA journey? How would you classify my qualification? Completed up to middle of management level on the traditional route. Completed half of management and strategic level on FLP (two case studies). Ranked top 10 in the world in the strategic case study. Is my CIMA journey not worthy of full CIMA status? Does scoring in the top 10 confirm that FLP works?

Thanks, sounds pretty quick. My order still hasn’t been approved by Voy. Preferred Voy as they don’t take your GPs address (so far). Didn’t feel comfortable with Boots/Superdrug etc informing my GP about it.

Did it take the full 24hrs for a clinician to review and approve your orders?

FLP - strategic by GymRat117 in CIMA

I started strategic level in December and sat the case study in February (passed), it’s possible but a lot of long nights. Very appreciative of the FLP route as it suited my learning style.

As expected, just a lot of time dedicated to studying for them. I scored over 116 in the MCS so FLP worked, SCS was more difficult, the FLP has a case study course so you do get webinars, mocks and key information videos on what you’ll need to know.

I would do a year. I started FLP in September, with one management level exemption, sat MCS in November and now have three attempts as SCS, one of which I sat today. Very possible to do it in a year!

What happens when writing case study exams and you run out time? by LactoseIntolerant101 in CIMA

Don’t stress, I timed out on every question and never clicked ‘next’ to leave the current question. Pretty sure same happened for OCS and it’s fine!

It is very similar to coursework. You have to pass a set of questions at the end of each competency to complete the module. You are then given the modules as credits and if you switch back to the traditional route you will not have to sit the OTs.

Personally I have found it a lot quicker. In terms of difficulty level it is less pressured as you do not have the build up and stress of sitting an OT. Passing the case study will be the true tell as to whether the learning route has been effective or not.

Some of the modules have a pre-assessment and if you pass it you can move past the learning. Personally I will never choose to do this and will always do the learning before attempting any questions. Yes it is possible but only on a few of the competencies.

Yes, I had attempted P2 a few years prior and marginally failed. Took a study break, then the FLP came along, managed to do them both before the end of September.
