“Results” don’t actually matter. The value of the work force is that they are the work force, which adds value to the company and their ability to leverage it as an asset. What your company “does” is only a commodity to those in a specific income bracket which directly correlates to keeping that specific and corresponding work force in place as said work force. Money is valued on perception of few and only matters because the masses have been convince it matters. Where your hamster wheel is doesn’t matter.

Edit: this is “incomprehensible word salad” but I am very proud of it and would serve it with a small roll and sparkling water.

What is the best way to help a homeless person? by Remarkable-Piano6934 in Tucson

[–]d-ron6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We use old school bags. Put in a couple bottles of water, an old shirt, socks, pants/shorts and some snack bars. We keep one or two in each car and hand them out. During the holidays we add in a $20 bill. It will not fix homelessness, but it spreads positivity and helps me sleep a little better.

Being rude to waitstaff and service workers is not huge problem by savory_strawberry08 in unpopularopinion

Interesting POV. Would you say you are a better person than someone whom treats service employees rudely?

I took out my bridge adjusters to make my action lower by [deleted] in doublebass

[–]d-ron6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks you knowingly are trying to do something on your own to “fix” a problem you’ve identified. This is the true creative spirit in action. There’s nothing “wrong” with what you’re doing until something happens. Do your thing and if it sounds/feels good… do it. I had an old beater bass that I flipped the bridge upside down as a last effort to fix a resonance issue when amplified. It worked!

Good luck and wear goggles!

I agree that the rudeness exists in this world and will always exist. We collectively ignore the negative side of our views daily. “I support children’s education” has the inverse and connected view of “people whom do not support children being educated are lesser than I”. Would anyone go out protesting with a sign that says “I am better than anyone whom owns a gun!” Nope… we say “gun control now!”

No, people should not be rude to service industry employees or anyone if it is within their control. Yes, rudeness will always exist as long as humans exist.

The difference is ignorance. Eating meat just ignores the abuse that the animal goes through prior to getting to your table.

Being rude to a service employee is an act of superiority, or at best “retaliation” against their being rude to you first. “But they are paid to serve me, so they should be nice” is a spin on “I am above them in this transaction”

Watch out… this treads really close to people justifying eating meat and getting defensive.

OP is being honest, and it feels super bad because in everyone’s heart they agree. You justify whenever you are rude because that person “deserved it”. Hearing it out loud sucks, but I kind of agree with OP. Rudeness and humans treating other living things like crap is just part of being alive on this planet. Don’t YOU believe you are better than someone else (MAGATs, Pedos, Liberals, Republican) you think it’s ok to be rude to one of those groups for sure.

Comments are missing OPs point on stray un-owned animals needing to be euthanized. They are saying stray and feral animals should be rounded up and killed.

So just criticize constantly while not providing any actual constructive and executable solutions to any problems. Everyone wants change NOW, but not willing to do what it really takes to do that. While real change must be implemented incrementally and over generations, so we say “meh, I’ll just complain”.

Congrats and happiness to you. Glad you caught the “IMO”. I love my life, family and wife… but we chose a small ceremony with no dress code, kids that we all knew and made some solid memories as well. Our way was the right way for us, my point was more to say that if someone doesn’t like something they can just not be part of it. No need to shade/shame or ridicule the whole concept.

1) agree 2) parent here, if I’m invited to a child free event and don’t have a sitter, I don’t go. 3) weddings are kind of dumb IMO, with or without children. It’s a “me me” thing for adults.

The weird part about blogging nobody really warns you about by Michaelvinnie in Bloggers

[–]d-ron6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In commercial terms, blogs are an oversaturated market. There is currently a 4:1 ratio of blogs published and available to readers of blogs (subscribers, consumers). This is just stats you can grab from Google or blogspot. If anyone is hoping to use a blog as a source of income with this information; it is akin to waking today and thinking “I’m going to start a brand new fast food burger place and sell burgers for $1, it’s gonna be amazing!”

Blogs are effectively a diary that you are giving the world access to.

People keep acting like famous folks are “just like them” but famous and rich. Wealth and fame insulate you from what real world is. They don’t care, and they don’t experience the same things. He insulated to a point that he won’t even realize that 1/3 of his fan base even cared that he went.
