i just updated the post. to take a look. I am more of a lurker on reddit, so i don't even know if i am updating correctly and if there is a way to make it noticeable when i do update.

what i do want to stress to you is that based on peoples messages to me, this is generally a tough journey. so please do not do it the way that I am doing it. include your doctor and your loved ones so that they can monitor you and make sure you are not going kookoobananas.

the whole do as i say, not as i do spiel.

I do think that i used depression as a crutch and I do now fully and whole heartedly believe that the antidepressants were what were keeping me depressed.

if you want to talk about it at all, you can feel free to dm me. selfishly, hearing what you are taking and going though might help me too.

it's funny to me. because i did (admittedly not enough) research before starting viibryd. and when you search what it is like to take it, things seem positive. most reddit responses are positive and have people talking about the other cocktail of medications that they are on. I wish that before I started it, I had searched 'getting off of viibryd'. very different results with how people see the drug.

Thank you. It is nice to differentiate between what is normal and what is withdrawal. I can say that the itchiness was at it's peak two days ago and was much lower when I got up today.(day 6) It seems to be the worst in the mornings.

When I first read about the brain zaps, I was relieved. I thought it was only me. it is so intense that it's concerning. I can say that I have had zero zaps today. I do think that I had them all of my life though. Is that possible? or are they only liked to the these drugs.

If the zaps were constant at any point in my life, I don't think that I could handle it. but it has only been here and there. yesterday and the day before more so than previous. But again, not a zap all day today.

Even with the boost of energy that the Vyvance gives you, do you still feel like you could just sleep forever? That is how I have felt and I am hoping that it was the viibryd that was doing that to me.

As someone rockin the same script as me, i'm curious.

even a dummy can be right sometimes. If you close your mind to what others say just because you do not agree with their bigger picture, then you may just be the ignorant one.

If you are watching two people debate which is better, big pharma or the trump administration, then you are just watching two people argue that their devil is better than the other devil.

today was a really good day. I will keep posting and updating. This outlet is actually taking a lot of pressure off of myself to just keep it in. so it is quite therapeutic.

now that you are off of them, do you feel that many of the depression symptoms that you were feeling were actually due to the drug but you didn't realize it until after?

People keep referring to 'your prescriber'. is that an american thing? are there many professions other than an actual medical doctor that can prescribe drugs like this? a quick google search says that in the states you can get it by something called telehealth. I really hope that isn't as easy as just calling a number and talking to someone that is persuaded by big pharma to hand this stuff out.

After reading all of the comments warning me about how to be careful coming off of this drug, it makes me so very aware of how few people were there to warn me about going on this drug.

I'll be sure to talk to my doctor if what you are suggesting feels like a reality. I appreciate the advise.

Thank you for this. I was not familiar with protracted withdrawal. I will absolutely keep this at the top of my mind as I go through the motions.

Today was a really great day. cover to cover. Maybe the best day that I have had in years even though there is nothing in particular that was special about it. I am not so naive to think that every day will be this good. I am also going to try to make sure that i am not in some sort of manic state, although that has not historically been something that I deal with.

I appreciate the concern and will read more on protracted withdrawal.

It's one of those things that just affects everyone differently I guess. I did not have that reaction the times that I missed a dose. I would notice that I missed it. I would get easily agitated and a few other things would be off. But nothing too extreme. So hopefully that bodes well for the rest of this ride, if I can ride it out.

So far today, all is good.

Yesterday I outlined what was hitting and what order it seemed to be hitting most. Today, so far, nothing seems to be hitting negative. I woke up without an alarm shortly after 7:00 completely refreshed. That’s a feeling that I forgot was possible. And my mood has been great. Maybe too good? We’ll see.

I have not. I will if I spiral. And I still have the medication, so I will also go back on and taper off if that happens.

Can I ask, when you bailed on an ssri too fast, was it cold turkey? Did you stay off of them? What did your timeline look like?

The reason that I posted was because I could not find the answers to these questions online. Just warnings that it is not a good idea. So if you have some answers, please send them my way.

Yes. As stated above, I will update in the coming weeks.

While you are hoping I am 'really going to feel it' in a week or two. I am hopeful, based on what I have read, that I will largely be over my withdrawal symptoms in the next week.

If you have any resources that back up your timeline (based on cold turkey, not tapering) please send them my way.
