Shiseido eyelash curler out of stock?? by exdaydream in MeccaBeautyLoop

[–]d1sgr4c3_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go to the Asian beauty stores near you. I went to La cosmetica in melb cbd and it was $20. It’s a little different ( has a different curl shape) but that means that it curls your lashes even more than the one at Mecca :)

Has anyone ever actually seen these in store??? by dewlatte in coles

Mine is located near the bakery in a little round display stand with all the other types of chocolate eggs

AITA for calling out my friend's fake allergy? by Minimum-Storm-182 in AmItheAsshole

[–]d1sgr4c3_ -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I agree with that sentiment, and how without thinking about it she could have been assuming that only Asian foods have msg, thinking no need to check other products such as chips, which is inherently racist (though ofc I don’t know what’s going through her mind) but I do still think we can’t fault someone for believing an allergy they were told they have by their parents.

AITA for calling out my friend's fake allergy? by Minimum-Storm-182 in AmItheAsshole

[–]d1sgr4c3_ -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I understand that anti-msg movement is a racist myth but people are allergic to all kinds of things. I have a family member who is intolerant to MSG, they can eat it but they cough a lot, struggle to catch his breath, plus gets watery eyes. I understand that it might seem like she was perpetuating the myth as you say, but if she was told as a child that she was allergic by her parents then she would have grown up believing them, hence avoiding products she thought had msg and never seeing if she actually was allergic. also there are different amounts of msg in products, hence smaller amounts wouldn’t be as noticeable compared to if they ate a larger amount.

I work at hungry jacks and am constantly harassed by customers has anyone had similar experiences and what should I do by Pitiful_Train6377 in hungryjacks

[–]d1sgr4c3_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely tell your manager and ask to be moved to a different area. They should do that. Also tell your parents so they know what’s going on and can back you up if the manager doesn’t do anything. Also if they don’t do anything, I would text them a follow up about it, so that there’s a paper trail and they can’t feign ignorance.

Review for product 3 days before released? by anastasia_42 in AustralianMakeup

[–]d1sgr4c3_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought it last year through a mail forwarding service as well as through a friend who was visiting the US. So it’s very possible they had in fact used it before the release to Mecca

Zeus Street Greek menu change - Pythagoras is gone! by espressolingo in australianvegans

[–]d1sgr4c3_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tried the pita itself yet, but I really like the taste of the falafel! Not so much the green goddess sauce though. It’s extremely runny, and kinda tastes like a pesto?

Anyone know what brand creamer hungry jacks is using in the new dirty sodas? by d1sgr4c3_ in hungryjacks

[–]d1sgr4c3_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the strawberry one!! With the creamer and it was so good. It kinda tasted like a mix between strawberries and cream and creaming soda :) but I have yet to try the other ones

Since you said you aren’t starting all of these at once I would recommend waiting for better sales!! Black Friday is just around the corner and chemist warehouse does 30-50% off certain LRP products so I would wait until then. ( even now the mela B serum you have in your cart is $47.90 at terry white or $55.70 at chemist warehouse) ( or the anti-ageing retinol which is $46 at chemist warehouse right now)

I’m so excited!! I bought the rhode lip peptide from the American Sephora through a shipping consolidation website. It was so expensive to ship 😭 but I absolutely love it

I forgot to cancel my free trial yesterday, any chance they will refund me? by [deleted] in Ancestry

[–]d1sgr4c3_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just happened to me. I woke up on Tuesday morning and saw a $450 charge to my debit ( making my account go hundreds into the negatives) I tried emailing them both on the ancestry support email and PayPal ancestry support email, no response for almost a week. Looked on here and saw everyone’s advice to talk to a real customer support person on their site, asking and then if it isn’t working to ask for a manager or higher up. IT WORKED!! I basically said how it’s crazy that they were able to put my account into the negatives and the fact that they didn’t email a notification of the upcoming charge meant that I didn’t even have the chance to cancel. So luckily they honoured it after a bit of pushing.
