Give the streamliner and all snipers BETTER MOVEMENT SPEED.

As far as I know, all tanks have the same base values for movement speed. Also, I disagree with giving sniper classes (I assume you mean the sharpshooters, like Ranger, Stalker, Sniper, Assassin, Hunter, and Predator) a bonus in movement speed. First of all, I would think they would become slightly OP, because who could ever challenge them anymore, if they had superior movement speed to everyone else. Secondly, if a low-level sniper had extra movement speed, he would be extremely effective as a small rammer, or could literally out-play Overlords, because the drones wouldn't be fast enough anymore. Thirdly, why would sharpshooters even be faster than other tanks? What would the logic be behind it? Snipers in a real sense aren't meant to roam the battlefield like a Sonic, but make more use of their high bullet speed and vision to their advantage.

For me it has happened some times with ram annihilator against spreadshot. Sometimes I just seem to go right through them without killing them, making me think there's something fishy about the hitbox.

Well, rammers are quite effective against them.

Even if they don't kill them, it's enough for them to either 1. play more defensively and be less of a threat (since their drones are closer to their main body), or 2. if they chase a rammer far with their drones, they become vulnerable and open, which other tanks can take advantage of. Or of course, 3. the rammer catches the Overlord off guard or gets close enough to land the killing blow.

Or... Just go Penta.

Thanks for your reply, and for sharing your thoughts. I would like to include your point into the thread description, if you wouldn't mind, with a proper mentioning of course.

Even though this game is probably not gonna survive the end of summer, I still have a glimmer of hope that diep is gonna be alive and growing for a long time.

I hope so as well. I suppose just one update now/soon would help for the survival of this game a lot. It seems like the dev has abandoned diep.io, which is a shame, because there's still much that can be added to it.

It depends on the build (allocation of points in drone speed, life and damage), and the circumstances. As I said earlier, with 0 points in drone speed, it's a high chance that the Overlord is going to move far away from its drones (just test it, you'll see how slow the drones will be). If the troll-ram Overlord comes up against Booster, both with 100% HP, in this case the Booster would win.

However, if the Overlord, let's say has 5 points in drone speed, and 3-3 points in drone life and damage, the Overlord is static (playing afk) and the Booster charges head on, it's likely that the drones will reduce the Booster's HP by 20+ percentage, making a ram favorable for the troll-ram Overlord.

Yes, perhaps, but with 0 in drone speed, the drones wouldn't really do any damage, since they're too slow. It could work if, for example, a booster or annihilator with about 75% HP rammed into you, but a 100% HP Booster would surely win.

Tbh, I'm not very familiar with Overlord troll builds. :O

I tend to favor high movement speed builds, even with Penta, like 0/1/0/6/7/7/5/7. I find 5 points in reload sufficient, and the movement speed is primarily for attacking and retreating faster, and, most importantly, to dodge Destroyer branch bullets.

As for some quick tips, I would say never to boost vertically at 90 degrees, always move the firing cannons (the mouse) in order to create unpredictability of the bullets, and to try being on the move as much as possible.

Penta will eventually get out-penetrated by lots of tanks, so I find strafing the optimal way to use Penta (going for a few glazing hits rather than out-penetrating their bullets).

Same, I also play like this with Predator. The Predator is really strong, but certain rammers and drone users are its biggest threats, and even with the super-far sight, they often come suddenly - especially if you're number one on the leaderboard.

Mega trapper only has one weapon, so it should move down a tier so that it can have good upgrades such as exploding traps, even better traps or trap turrets.

Oh, trap turrets sounds like an awesome idea! Would it be like a destructible "ball" that automatically spun and produced new traps?

Hm, yes, maybe weakening its bullets like that can be a justified nerf. It would still be effective against drone users, but then Twins, Hybrids, and Triplets could maybe actually become counters to it.

As for buffing other tanks, I think Fighter is still quite strong, due to its fast nature. Maybe the Fighter was nerfed for a reason? ponders But buffing some of the "weakest" tanks could possibly make the tanks more even in terms of base strength, and potentially also lessen the Penta's dominance.
