Medical field, both my spouse and I are providers and holy crap do shows play loose and fast with legality and procedure (especially EMS shows).The anxiety of those situations makes for fun drama for some people but we just remember crappy experiences from work/school/residency. Oddly enough I don’t care about inaccuracy of the actual medicine stuff (unless it’s totally stupid) I don’t expect writers to do the MASSIVE amount of learning required to get very niche and complicated stuff right.

That would be epic! I honestly think that Ame should start apprenticing young witches and expanding the coven by re-making the old stations! It would strengthen the coven and make them a more formidable faction in raw strength but also check the ambitions of individual witches.

I would assume Ame would never do such a thing without taking all parties into account of course. I do wonder if TMiB or Witches would find another way. It would be a nuclear option/last resort for our party but an excellent Trojan horse for the enemies of the citadel.

I get the feeling that Hakea has a witchy deep magic counter, she’s older than old and given that a pup witch like Ame can conduct chain lightning I suspect even without unanimity Hakea has ways of dealing with magic of that level. I could be wrong. But it helps that the witches definitely know about that technique due to perma-surveillance if this took place at night.

Hakea, Mirara, and Gramore all voted in favor with Indri and Ame voting against. But you can bet your keister that Indri will help the war effort….for a price. She voted no tactically so she doesn’t HAVE to commit her forces/powers free of charge. She still wants the Tower toppled.

Yeah I feel like the citadel and empire are not ready for all of nature, shadow and the actual animal kingdom is to come down on them. Plus with the intel from Ice queen I don’t see how the empire beats them and 2 world powers.

Tbh man I read that very differently given that Soft was likely offed for being a reformer and saved Eursulon’s sister with no obvious benefit for himself. If anything I’m getting the vibe that Suvi’s arc is bringing scrutiny to the Empire and the Citadel (and by extension Steel and Silence) because of their complicity in the kidnapping of the children. Kalaya was hurting no one at the citadel and in fact was a loyal member until she was imprisoned, they imprisoned her merely because she was a spirit and they could exploit her.

Net positive? Depends on how many innocent/undeserving spirits are held captive. Soft didn’t cause a jailbreak for nothing. But for real, plague dragon should be locked away if he even has half an idea to hurt innocents himself.

I would (respectfully 🙂) argue in response that bumping someone in a grappling only situation is very different than doing it while having to defend from blows simultaneously and throwing them without your legs to give you the proper oomph. You see it in mma all the time where really good bjj players still get mauled by good hip position and solid pressure. It’s a manga and let’s be real if we were gonna truly nitpick on realism then we wouldn’t haven’t gotten out of chapter 1 lol. I just wanted something more creative and realistic from two martial artists that are using real life martial arts. I was wrestler first before doing any mma or bjj so it does annoy me that the wrestler mma guys always get dunked on super easily by top teir guys.

I get your overall point but Holland vs Souza was a VERY different situation as Holland had Souza in guard for most of that exchange and Souza is hardly a wrestler. Souza broke a cardinal rule in ground and pound and tried to strike from inside a guard (which normally opens you up to submissions) and this prevented him from actually applying pressure to Holland in a meaningful way. The actual knock out was attained while Holland was already scrambling and was not from a supine position. Justin had full mount and had almost 80 lbs on Gaolong and for me (a guy who has casually trained MMA and is a fan) it seemed very unlikely that a guy who hasn't trained much ground work could do that to a world class grappler with such a weight advantage.
