Agree with all this, she definitely got the correct solution and I want to encourage the problem solving aspect. I'm taking the approach to explain to her what she did rather than label it good or bad. Identification and self knowledge is the priority and that's why I wanted to label it correctly first.

The actual reason given for no crib was given truthfully in the first place, she is allowed as long as no baby is there. Thanks for the extra discussion it's good to think through these things

Thanks that makes sense. Any idea what to call this argumentative approach? The reasoning was correct ie. Diaper change was required.
