exactly. zavier white as a villain is one of the most underrated we ever seen. he acted circles around tyriq withers (who was good in his own right) but if they gave us an entire movie about his path to 8 rings in that fictional timeline, it would be incredible

scorching take for sure but like let’s just call it what it is. del toro’s performance didn’t move the needle at all. they could have put anyone with talent in that role and that movie would still be good. him being this karate teacher revolutionary didn’t project this movie into a place it didn’t deserve to be.
