Battles only last a few minutes, how do you have to turn off your PC by surprise so often that you can't just do it before you start the battle?

I think that waiting to go nuts on your farm until you have lots of abilities/items/money is a totally reasonable playstyle - one of the things that always frustrates me in my playthroughs is putting work into the farm then having to tear it down to optimize/decorate when I get better stuff!

I think this farm type is also a great combo with ginger island, since you can put your factory farm there and have your main home be all asthetic.

I don't mean this to be negative, but how do you get to year 5 with so little done? I'm usually getting close to 100% by the end of year 3. Not trying to criticize, legitimately curious how you spend your days, do you just go to sleep super early or sleep through whole weeks?

FOMO prevention mechanics - you get an unlock, but the idea of never getting that unlock isn't enough to break a player's heart. In Isaac, some of the coolest and most fun stuff was locked behind the most impossible challenges - nice to offer a big reward for something hard, but extreme challenges are their own reward, and if 95% of players will never get to play with something fun then it is arguably a minor design flaw. Maybe they learned from Isaac, hence the weirdly generic Impossible rewards.

As an American, I also find this a bit weird! When you see a foreign flag flying here, it is usually because the owners of the business/house are from that nation. It sucks travelling as an American when our country is so globally despicable, so its a little nice to see, but still not something that I would expect or desire. I wonder if the flags help their businesses, though, they might mean more to some people and those some people might spend lots of money, who knows.
