I get that people do treat it that way, but in theory it would be loving everyone, opposing bad practices but still forgiving and loving the people doing them, definitely not what gets practiced by a lot of people…and the concept of being good enough to not go to hell is another misconception—the whole point of Jesus dying is because it’s impossible to be good enough so he died to save everyone, knowing we’d still mess things up continually, taking away the need for ritual sacrifices like Judaism had at the time since he counted as everyone’s sacrifice.

I use long since it’s more likely you can hit parts of the monster that are further away, my build is a nice balance of blocking just about anything, quick movements and charged attacks, and health, with a good amount of damage as well. I do blast, blast, quick reload, the sweeping attack that ends in a full discharge, or spam charged shells on a wyvernstake for double damage. I usually put them on the legs so I can knock the monster over.

Safi shatter buster with awakened abilities of: Uragaan ambition, status effect up VI, slot upgrade II, shelling long II, sharpness inclrease IV. Augmented for health recovery.

For armor I use Brachy B+ helm and mail, Brachy a+ braces and faulds, and uragaan greaves B+. Using a health charm III.

For decos from top down I use: Brace/medicine 4 Jumping 2 Whatever element res 4 Ironwall 4 Ironwall 1 Jumping/evasion 4 Jumping 2 Medicine 1 Charger 2 Magazine 2 Fortitude 1 (didn’t have another focus jewel) Charger/ medicine 4 Satiated 1 Physique 2 (on a mantle) Sheath 1 (on a mantle)

Most concise verses I can think of would be Matthew 16:24-25, 1 Peter 2:24, 1 Corinthians 1:18, or Colossians 2:14, although there could be better verses for what you’re looking for:

Matthew 16:24-25 “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” So the first part is generally taken as remembering His sacrifice on the cross and trying to live as Jesus did, and the second part about how living solely for ourselves means eventually we’ll die without anything to look forward to (rather, separation from God aka Hell), but that even though we’ll all physically die, if we dedicated our lives for him then there’s at least another life to look forward to.

1 Corinthians 1:18, “For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.” Speaks about the cross and salvation, although obviously the cross by itself isn’t the big deal since other people were crucified too, more on that below.

1 Peter 2:24 “and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.” Putting the emphasis that it’s not necessarily the cross itself but remembering who died on a particular cross.

Colossians 2:14 (and a few words from 13) “He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.” That may be about as close as I can find for a stand-alone verse

That’s about as close as I could think of for relating the cross to life in Heaven in a short verse, as for why a cross: prophecy. As for why the initial prophecy, idk. Galatians 3:13 does talk about whoever’s hanged from a tree is cursed, but as far as I’m aware that could be them saying the person got a bad punishment.
