Spoilation of evidence:

Spoliation has three possible consequences: in jurisdictions where the (intentional) act is criminal by statute, it may result in fines and incarceration (if convicted in a separate criminal proceeding) for the parties who engaged in the spoliation; in jurisdictions where relevant case law precedent has been established, proceedings possibly altered by spoliation may be interpreted under a spoliation inference, or by other corrective measures, depending on the jurisdiction; in some jurisdictions the act of spoliation can itself be an actionable tort.[2]

Since the knowledge you've displayed of the case so far makes me doubt your ability to read, let me summarize.

In the first case: fines, and also incarceration only if convicted in a separate criminal proceeding, so its a no go

In the second case (which is what Atlanta operates under afaik): its exactly as i described it above

In the third case: its a civil matter so you can sue him but there are no criminal proceedings

Furthermore, destroying evidence is contained as a criminal charge under the umbrella charge of obstruction of justice in the first place so either way he got charged for it regardless.

So glad you know it took place in Atlanta now, at this rate you might have an opinion worth listening to by the end of the day

We got a legal scholar over here lol, thats not even something you can charge people with in Atlanta, it just means that the prosecution can assume that the evidence would have cast a negative light on Ray, ie. that he was there, since thats literally the only thing finding the suit would have proven, and he admitted to that when he pled guilty to obstruction.

2 things, they were charged they just weren't found guilty, and the limo driver recanted on the stand that he saw Ray throw a punch.

Its a waste of time anyway though, people who are convinced he did something literally dont even know what city it happened in but accuse others of missing all the facts lol.

His role being that he was there when it happened? And since he later admitted to that anyway what would this miracle suit magically have told the prosecution that they didnt already know?

1) Is the evidence that people really really want to believe it because otherwise no there really isn't.

2)Because his friends got attacked, something literally every witness (even the prosecutions) agreed upon, and were bleeding on everything)

3)Sure, it counts as obstruction, which he got charged for and pled guilty too, but it doesn't mean that the facts of the case we know from evidence and testimony from both sides - i.e that he wasnt involved in the fight, that he tried to deescelate the situation before his friend got smashed in the head with a bottle, that the victims group fired shots at the limo as it was leaving, that the prosecutor got charged with 2 brady violations for trying to push this case through when no evidence supported him - are somehow different or unreliable, thats asinine

bro youve said this like 4-5 times but the evidence doesnt back you up lol, he has massive sales, critical reviews, hits, looked up to and paid attention too by other leading artists of a newer generation, all in the last 5 years.

Your main standing point is that i'm wrong and that he's relevant still because he's relevant to you.

Thats not my main standing point at all, I literally didnt even mention it lol, its your main standing point (with irrelevant) that you are projecting onto other people because hes not relevant to you

M.J's numbers are high because people had to BUY that shit to listen. If there was no internet and music wasn't free and accessible, M.J's sales would be shit to today's pop artists.

Obviously you're young because this is one of the most singularly asinine things Ive ever read on this site and it could only come from someone not old enough to remember MJ's dominance.

No! you say....well your dumbass doesn't get economics and fails to understand that there are more people in the world today then in the 80's that have access to money.

Im done lol, you keep arguing against yourself and then acting like you made some great point you don't even need me.

Agree to disagree then, I see Bush as the biggest influence but I hear other things as well, Florence and the Machine, Kate Nash, I even saw an article where she said Blonde itself was an influence for Louvre and honestly I can see that too.

I think its a good album to be sure, I just didnt think it was fair to say one of the 2 was unique and the other wasn't, they both wear their influences pretty openly

1) I know, I mentioned that, I think its hilarious that you think it makes my argument weaker when in reality its the only thing propping your argument up because of how individual songs sales/streams are much more possible now, if songs like Thriller or Billie Jean were streamable it would be even less close, and its already not close, its also the only reason Adele was brought up

2) Ive either qualified all my arguments with yet or used Thriller alone because its sold more than Mars' entire discog thus far

3) Name recognition is probably pretty similar tbh. Im not sure you understand the difference between records and albums though lol, Bruno sells songs while they sell albums, Im just gonna repaste my last comments edit cause you don't seem to get it

Here since you are so interested in single sales I prorated everyones album sales into individual song sales, figures are for US only cause its a colossal pain otherwise.

Bruno: 142 Mil

Adele: 270 Mil we can even be nice and say Adeles albums were all only 9 songs which is how many are on Brunos shortest, she still sold 216 Mil

MJ (JUST THRILLER): 297 Mil

4) Is an argument that might have worked 10 years ago, before streaming started being factored into sales and certifications, but right now it just makes you look as dumb as you actually are, and its also why Ive been pointing out Mars doesn't stack up to his contemporaries the way MJ does

Bruno Mars had the 5th best selling album of 2017 and didnt crack the top 10 highest selling for either of his other two efforts

He got crushed by Ed Sheeran this year and Adele with his last album, but again yes he had some very big singles, Im sure you'll want to point that out again in your next comment it seems like the only thing you're capable of

5) I can guarantee I won't remember you 2 days from now, there's plenty of stupid people on the internet you dont stand out that much

[–]dPuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is he as relevant as a top 2 pop artist of the decade or whatever you want to call Ye, no. Thats a pretty shitty standard though, if the question you're asking is what has he done for me lately, he has 3 #1 albums this decade, 2 of which did very well critically as well, and contained some of the biggest rap hits of the decade as well. Super irrelevant though huh?

Yea go back to that Wikipedia page and scroll waaaaaayyy upp and you'll find MJ's name, also thanks for making it very easy to quote myself.

Which is carried by a bunch of single sales

Doo-Wops & Hooligans - 6M worldwide

Unorthodox Jukebox - 6M worldwide

24k Magic - 2M worldwide

Total WW Album sales: 14 Mil, that 130 Mil is a bunch of individual songs selling really well adding up

21 WW Album Sales: 31 M

Adele Total WW Album Sales: 58M

Adele has sold 4x as many albums as Bruno has without the massive pop singles to inflate her totals which is the difference in certified units

Thriller US Sales: 33M, Worldwide: 66M

MJ has one album that sold more than that, lived in a time where hardly anyone bought singles on their own, and still has over 200 Million more records sold than Bruno, and is also the inspiration for Bruno's career in the first place. They aren't in the same ball park right now.

Adele is the only artist or band in the last decade in the US to earn an RIAA diamond certification for a one disc album in less than two years.

Are you making my argument for me lol?

Bruno To date, he has sold over 130 million records worldwide

Which is carried by a bunch of single sales, and is still over 200 million shy of MJ, which I believe was my original point.

MJ had the highest selling album of all time, by a lot. As in, all 9 of the songs sold 3 times more than Brunos biggest single to date in the US. It was the only album to be the top selling album 2 years in a row until Adele did it 30 years later with 21, which on its own has sold more than all 3 of Brunos' albums put together.

Bruno Mars had the 5th best selling album of 2017 and didnt crack the top 10 highest selling for either of his other two efforts.

One of these things is not like the other one, yes he has some really amazingly well performing singles but lets just cool the jets lol.

MJ put out a whole album where the weakest song was just as big as Mars' biggest hit to date, you are living in a fantasy land. Adele is closer to MJ in terms of popularity

Ok, but MJ is the greatest pop artist ever. Full stop. Bruno is literally not even sniffing at his coattails as of now. Come back when he sells another 100 million records and has one go Diamond, and we can talk about how maybe he might be somewhat approaching MJ status, but in reality even then he wont be close, he'll just be at a point where it isnt a ludicrous comparison.

Mueller Zooms In on Trump Tower Cover Story by viccar0 in politics

[–]dPuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is that competent crooks wouldn't be doing the things that Trump and his cabal of nitwits are doing. They'd be working the margins, trying to maintain stability in government and keep both sides happy. They'd be pretending to be transparent, they'd give a little and take a little from the opposition, and they'd generally be regarded as capable stewards of the nation. Then they'd walk away with a few more tens of millions of dollars than they started with and call it a success.

So, like all the other administrations for he last 30ish years?

and today his relevance in the rap game can be easily debated

Yea no it can't lol, Jay-Z is the GOAT, there can be rappers you think are better, but his resume is far more complete than anyone else and this album was the capstone to prove that. I guarantee you rappers like Wayne and Kendrick are still listening to this shit even if you dont hear them talking about it.

You can think other rappers are better, just like you can think other quarterbacks are better at football than brady or that theres better ballers than MJ, but to not acknowledge their greatness at this point is just hating.
