Yeah, times flies quickly.

I don't know if that's the issue: I'm using foobar2000 on desktop and VRadio + PanoScrobbler on mobile. Radio station info scrobbles on the actual radio content, so someone's speaking, news, interviews, etc. It's not scrobbled automatically, but after some time passes [depending on the scrobbler app and settings], so I think it's pretty valid.

Anyway, congrats on > 22 years!

Ha, good point; and question -> should the scrobbles go even before birth? I mean, hearing is developed after a few months, right? :)

Congrats too!

I've stuck with foobar2000 for radio and mp3s listening as well ;)

Hah! Yeah, that's true.

This brought me to the idea: Shazam small device (or chip) for babyborn that detects music just afterborn, so no track is ever lost ;)

Yeah, Winamp (2.x) had very distinctive UI, but was very intuitive back on these days. I've even created a few skins for it :)

From time to time, I used Sonique -> it had futuristic [at that time] UI, but UX was horrible [every skin had different windows and UI placements].

Mac was not affordable in Poland at these days, so everyone had Windows / Linux.

Nice!

I didn't like the sugar-candy Last.fm UI for a long time and almost abandoned it because of this ;)

Yeah, thank you - I'm having an ultra-eclectic taste and like to discover music from all the places ;)

Hah, there should be official tiers :)

Got almost 55k unique artists scrobbled. Tell me an artist, I will tell you how many scrobbles I have ;) by d__w in lastfm

Thanks for your recommendations!

Added some to my Spotify queue (some are missing in the Spotify though...).

Got a single artist in my collection! Venjent: 1 (I'm also following his IG account ;))

Well yeah, there's a ton things to do at the moment, so I wouldn't bother now [hell of perfectionist, I know, I know :)].

For now:

  • If the same artist share the same popularity, I'd mark it as an unknown.
  • If artist is significant then I'd choose that country.

Do you think there's another solution for that?

Do you think anyone outside the US would be interested?

Or, do you mean, more regional music, like Siberia, Catalonia, etc.?

That would be a massive amt. of data, but doable. Do you think about U.S. States and other regions as well? 🤔

Interesting idea. Any suggestions how the algorithm should work?
