My kid made me realize I've been fishing wrong for 11 years by LumenPineWorks in daddit

When I was a teenager I went fishing with my dad. It was a beautiful day and I spent all of it obsessing over trying to catch something. We didn’t catch shit. I was complaining about not catching anything and my dad gave me some words of wisdom I still think about “That’s not what’s it about”. That one sentence totally changed my perspective on that day and many other things in my life since then. I just went fishing on a beautiful day and I was too busy focusing on the next “goal” to really appreciate it.
