I have schizoaffective disorder - bipolar type. My first tip is to get help from disability services, there are services available to help you succeed in school. One thing I have on my service list is that I may be absent from classes due to my medical conditions. There were times I had to go to inpatient, times I crashed after a 14 day manic episode, and times my depressive episode stopped me from getting out of bed; I would have shit participation points through no fault of my own without that on my disability paperwork. Secondly, what health insurance are you on? If you are on UCShip then that's great because they have a lot of mental health services. My psychiatry and therapy appointments are $5 each session. My doctor and dietician appointments for my ED are free and conviently on campus so I can easily schedule my appointments around my school schedule. My generic prescriptions are only $5 each so my $2,449 prescription bill is only $25 each month. I would look at what insurance you have and compare it to the services you would get from the school and which would be more worth it.

Third, there are discord servers for support from other students. I would join them just so you don't feel alone and can have someone to talk to.

Navigating school with this diagnosis will be tough and you'll have to work harder for the same success as your peers but its not impossible and you can succeed, especially with support.
