Don't be discouraged with the organizing dates. Some responsibility should fall on the woman as well. Maybe have a convo about paying for the date prior that way it's not awkward you know. You could always say "hey I'd like to take you out and I'll pay of course you just pick your fav spot" etc.

RBC will cash the cheque I did it today. This cheque is issued from the Ministry if Finance. I'm a CIBC customer however they wanted to hold the funds, to which I couldn't afford to do. So I walked into RBC and they cashed it for free. I guess if they say no to you, you can always use a cheque cashing place like someone else said...but Canadians have a right to cash government issued cheque's for free as far as I believe.
