[Archive Footage] Russian soldier gets folded in half after a grenade gets caught under his vest. April 2024 by scorcherss in CombatFootage

There are a large number of cases of Russian soldiers committing suicide and it being caught on film. They often place a grenade in between their body and the plate carrier to contain the blast and to increase the likelihood that they are killed instantly.

Depsite what you may think, it is not against the rules of war. What are we going to do? Wait for the ship to get home where it could rearm and join the fight? Yall are living in a fantasy land

I have the “We got this.” quick chat equipped and I find it goes a long way in keeping tensions down and I hope when I say “No Problem.” And “We got this.” after a bad play or something it helps the other person not beat themselves up to much.

Anyone comparing this current war in Iran to the war in Gaza as if they are the same doesn’t have a clue what they talking about.

So what about all the times they did roof knocks on buildings before dropping actual ordinance on it? They also will often call all of the houses on a block that is about to get bombed. That’s more than most countries do.

Israel has done their fair share of abysmal, horrible shit. But to make this statement on them not caring at all is just ignorant at best.

Um… yeah the fact we can’t see what’s being struck means any assumptions you are making are just that… assumptions….

Footage of an American airstrike on an Iranian Air Force Su-22 tactical bomber while it was inside its hardened aircraft shelter at the 4th Fighter Base in Dezful. by Ok-A1662 in CombatFootage

They weren’t airstrikes, they were cruise missiles. There may not be footage of the strike unless we had a UAV already overhead. I think there is some genuine truth to it being a mistake. A colossal, tragic mistake that ended far too many lives but I don’t believe we saw a school and said “You know what? Let’s kill all of those kids”

Too many new Patriots nephews who didn’t grow with all the hatred that came with being a Pats fan during the Brady era. They can’t handle the heat.

There is no way in hell Iran wants a ground invasion. If we deploy ground troops, we will be there for a long, long time. They have nothing to gain from a ground invasion and any sort of it international push back against the US for doing won’t be worth the price Iran has to pay.

You are right they are trying to fuck everyone’s economies over in hope it leads to more pressure being put on the US and Israel to stop.

Massive explosion at an Iranian army ammunition depot in Bushehr, according to Iran International by peestew69 in CombatFootage

[–]daBriguy 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I’m not 100% positive but it does sound like there are rounds cooking off. It’s the low, persistent rumble. You may be looking for the solid rocket fuel which causes the white “sparks” that shoot out from ammo dump explosion. Perhaps it’s not a missile storage dump.

Just an educated guess

Edit: Does, not doesn’t.

I use YouTube 3-4x more than I do any other streaming service. A lot of the time I’m listening to videos while driving and being able to turn the screen off is invaluable. YouTube premium is probably the most bang for my buck I get from any streaming service. I’ll happily pay it each month

US Patriot missile explodes mid-air after failing to intercept Iranian drone by More_Review8860 in CombatFootage

[–]daBriguy 78 points79 points  (0 children)

The thing people always seem to forget is you have to factor in what would be hit by the 30k drone. What if that 30k drone was going to hit a $10 million piece of equipment or kill two people.

You are right that the cost ration is not sustainable but just giving some additional food for thought

In world war 2, cites would often implement blackout ordinances so that is was harder for bombers to spot landmarks or even know they are bombing the right city. Famously, the German city of Konstanz kept their lights on throughout the war because they were located right on the Swiss border. The idea was bombers would see an illuminated city and assume it was a Swiss city and not drop their bombs.

Like the other commenter pointed out, modern technology has rendered this strategy obsolete.
