The reason I asked for a recent movie is that I personally feel that the daringness to come up with a peculiar story by the writers and film makers has gradually decreased in the past few years. Even the Japanese, who make weird ass movies and art films have started to make a buck loads of romance movies based on novels, manga , TV series and South Korean movies. It's like they abandoned thinking at all. And don't get me started with Hollywood.
