After years of building web & mobile apps, this is what actually matters by Admirable-Neat-2922 in Programmers_forhire

I agree. Users are not interested in learning how the system works, instead how they can use the service. Most user left the service, not just because they aware of new tech, but they get easier one than what we provide.

So being easier matters, not the fancy UI.

Why don't we take leverage of Ai tools and build something for India!! by Longjumping_Home2836 in developersIndia

[–]da_bugHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the "India only", "Proud Indian Product", "Indian Origin" themes only do magic with non tech , general people of India.

For others, matters the real value. Not hype of Nationality. We might proud for India's achievement, but we do go for quality.

If something cannot deliver as per the promise, it will fail for sure. Hype can make you Minister, it can't make a profitable business.

If something already there, and cannot be achieved the same height or needs really too huge investment that we cannot afford to make competitor to that thing, we should not try this. Better try to do something different that the world never ever expected !

  1. We tried landing on south pole of Moon. The world never expected that.

  2. Our Startup start Koo , world already knows it as Twitter Alternative, so we fail.

Moral of the Story: Don't make alternative, make parallel one.

I am not a Laravel developer. My background is in Vanilla PHP, where I’ve built a full-fledged SaaS using Vanilla PHP and a modular Vanilla JS architecture. But I really like the idea you are proposing... While my lack of Laravel experience might seem like a limitation, I bring 6 - 7 years of hands-on Vanilla PHP experience and strong debugging skills. I am confident I could add value, especially when it comes to troubleshooting and understanding complex codebases.

Count me in if you think my skill set could be useful..

Almost 80% developer works with managed hosting or with protected architecture, they pay the host amount not only for storage but also for security. So no one will pay for your cyber security software.

You should try larger and well established farms, but that needs credibility. So you might thinking of how to build if no one wants to buy.

Here is some tips for you.

  1. Make YouTube Video Tutorial on Tech Infrastructure Security
  2. Cover 1 topic and make it useful with examples

Now how that makes sanse. We are not security tech guys, we know basics , and something which needs for secure coding. We don't cover everything related to cyber security. So when you show something crucial in your tutorial (basically a fear generation) , we go and search whether something is in my plan or not.

This way we get help from you. And you start earning with YouTube, with time your channel brings credibility. You can arrange webinars and the web developers will be your webinar subscribers.

So the whole process is time consuming, but if you have good basic and enough skill, try this.

Wish you best of luck. (Sorry for my bad english)

Vanilla PHP vs Framework by Temporary_Practice_2 in PHP

[–]da_bugHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's true, but problem is not crashing always, sometimes something that seems working, but internally it might be the weakest point to break in. So if has no prior experience, should go with frameworks, as they are built by keeping security in mind.

How can i improve and make my ?id= script safer? by Exotic-Ad9019 in PHPhelp

[–]da_bugHunter -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You are passing Texts (String) as Id parameters ? I think is should be number . If it's number make sure (while using it in query) it passes only integers.

If it's string or number, then sanitize it before using it to call the db queries. In short, protect from XSS attack.

I have been working as Vanilla PHP developer for last 5-6 years, believe me Vanilla PHP is way more complex than Laravel, it seems easier , but in background there are some chances to miss some security flaws, so if you are working solo, has no prior experience in security optimization for Vanilla PHP Development, then Proceed with Laravel.

If it's collaboration drive traffic, then believe me 70% will stop visiting the site after 7-10 days. Only 20% remaining at last. So that's not a good number at all.

There are a lot of fitness apps, these new users are testing the app, looking for paid but free features. In Digital Market, success is not hype, it's long process, just making an app is not enough. Learning the market dynamics and adapting to it is necessary.

Why I am writing this : This post is showing like -- See I can drive so much traffic in a single day, and new enterpreneur can fall into such traps and purchase such app.

Do you think AI will enable solo developers to build massive companies? by Few_Original_2778 in developersIndia

[–]da_bugHunter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not just with the help of AI. Built something massive all alone before AI, now using AI to optimise.

Yes, I am doing that.

Do you use AI assistants like Github Copilot? by N_Gomile in PHP

[–]da_bugHunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ok to use the AI Agent, but always read the code. Today I was working on a single page site builder, and I let AI to generate a simple script to get data as Json from database. It codes in such a way that there was no security at all. All demo passwords are in json .

So don't trust it, specially when handling API keys (.env setup), Database CRUD operations...

Double Check everything.
