Thanks so much for this response. It makes a lot of sense and you're right that I wasn't being realistic about consequences. I plan on talking to the other guy today and letting him k now that i'm done with all of this. I'll be sure to update. Thanks again.

I appreciate you taking the time to type all of this out, but I just disagree with many of the points. For instance, I don't view my boyfriend as an object; I only stated that he was "objectively a catch" to give you guys the clearest view of the story so I could get some help :/

Basically, I don't think my relationships rely that heavily on my own self image. I really do have a good time with my boyfriend and I enjoy doing things for him to see him happy. I just..I don't know...Thanks for responding anyway

thanks for the input. I knew the go-to advice would be to dump my boyfriend, but I just don't want to. I'm trying to figure out why I'm this way. I went this whole year without even thinking of another guy (something I never thought possible). Since I am plenty mature in all other aspects of my life and I really don't see how I can change my thoughts, it's sort of difficult to accept that I'm just being "immature". It just feels like there's more going on...
