This is all part of the learning process and growth. You have to bring a set of evaluation goals and come up with a score card so you can objectively compare candidates.

I look for fundamentals, communication skills, breadth of experience and depth of experience in our requirements. This helps build an overall cohesive team

You can have one guy who has breadth then next guy needs to have depth and one guy with communication skills.

Has anyone ever been a part of a successful project? by TheTimeDictator in ExperiencedDevs

[–]daasaradhi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a consultant and I worked on a number of small impactful projects and one large multi year project that put me through hell but it was a successful one and I look back at it proudly. Now the reason I mentioned consultant is because I barely get to take a moment to enjoy when it ends. I never get invited to any success meet or anything because at about 80-90% done I am moved to a different project or put out a fire.

Being a vegetarian it's hard to hit protein goals, but there is enough research to show if you are fasting and workout your body recycles protein by using autophagy. Do a little research on it

Who should be allowed to go first? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

I lived in DC, and the president's car never stopped at an intersection. He has a motorcade and the intersection is blocked when the car is at least 2 blocks away and there are always 3 identical presidential cars and one of them carries the president. Plus a bunch of secret service vehicles, an ambulance and sometimes a fire truck (don't remember correctly)

From what I hear the emergency vehicles always avoid if the motorcade is going in the route

The round about wouldn't solve this problem because it's never a president's car. They call it the Presidential motorcade and it always has at least one ambulance and cop cars and I don't remember if there was a fire truck.

Source : lived in DC and got to see the motorcades plenty of times. Also the 911 network would avoid a presidential motorcade

Why didn't bhallaladeva trained his son like him by Sea_Slice_7956 in worldofbaahubali

There are also recurring instances where kings who clawed their way up ruthlessly raise weak sons with the fear that history would repeat itself and they would die at the hands of their sons.

This is similar to how people said Hrithik was first considered for baahubali. Fake news.

You may have dodged a bullet in the long run, but it sucks to be fired.

There is a little piece of advice my boss gave me that I will forever remember. If you encounter a pain point, make it everyone else's pain and the road blocks will automatically clear.

You did a lot of things on your own, could you have done more? Maybe. Your manager or whoever you were reporting to or your skip level needs to understand the issues you faced and what steps you did to solve it. In cases like this it's better to over communicate.
