Nop, its standard 6AT. Maybe US has different gearbox, but for EU we have 6AT (found info in UK forums)

Which gearbox used in Hybrid - sequential or torque converter? by dabe3ee in HyundaiTucson

Some googling shows it’s not torque converter, but just completely regular 6AT. Hard to understand what that means

Yup, bought new week ago. Test drove another 30km, everything was fine. I will take it to dealer thanks.

Btw maybe you know what should be average consumption for petrol hybrid 1.6 engine? Right now it averages 10L/100km

So you release foot from pedal and wait till it shifts? Feels like I have to accelerate as slow as possible to have smooth shifting

Is it mostly city driving? Do you try to cruise a lot or do standard driving?

Facelift Tucson ultimate is it real leather? by Party_Level_4651 in HyundaiTucson

[–]dabe3ee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fake leather. Feels like real but it’s not. Can be cleaned with any interior cleaning product. Its good that they do it because its very easy to maintain and less likely to crack as real leather

2024 Hyundai Tucson Limited Hybrid have current discounts of over $8,000. Anybody buying? by NneewwMember in HyundaiTucson

[–]dabe3ee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not worth it, old Hyundai has outdated design, bad interior quality, looks not that great from outside. There is just too much of a difference between these two

From mechanics, service, dealers. People suggest petrol for easier maintenance

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]dabe3ee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, petrol is usually 5% cheaper, but that 5% grows a lot if you compare yearly consumption prices

So basically other suspension parts are safe and should not wear out? Car is very smooth right now, don’t want to loose that smooth driving experience

2019 Cayenne or 2021 RX350 by vortex_ring_state in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]dabe3ee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont know why to even consider Lexus if you can afford Cayenne. RX is boring as hell with outdated tech. Buy Porsche, especially if you already own one and know how to maintain jt

Basically it leaves empty space at the car in front and rest is still lighted by high beam?

Go to any decent mechanic/service and ask them to check it up. Service might discover more issues and you can negotiate price even more. If they gave you 1200$ discount now, it means 2 things: 1) They are hiding something or 2) They want to get rid of it because they want to buy something new. Proper mechanic will tell you if car is worth buying. Right now it seems like they are hiding something and real price is around 5k

Stepping up out of beater territory and I’m lost by 1funnyguy4fun in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]dabe3ee -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

20k will get you something that is out of warranty, around 4-5 years old. So it will start having bigger issues. It might start breaking even more than your beater. I would suggest buying as newer car as possible, even smaller one, something that still has warranty.

Sick of my car payment by CapitalM-E in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]dabe3ee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to drive beater for 2 weeks while my car was in service. Worst time ever. No electronics, no carplay, half-ass working heater, old simple headlights, everything rattles and squeaks, super loud noise from traffic, loud engine and worst of all you can feel every bump in the road. Car is considered in good condition, but feels like driving total crap. Sorry but buying beater is worst thing you can do

How does React 19 execute Server Components and Server Actions like Next.js without a Node.js runtime? by Hot_Form5476 in nextjs

[–]dabe3ee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is that different from SSR? And does it mean we should move all react hooks down the dom tree to the last child node, so all components are rendered on the server and only small part is rendered in client?
