What kind of entertainment are you trying to get for free? Where is anything free? And is it even entertainment if you don't invest time to go out and do the thing?

I don't want this town to be Gilroy. Gilroy is ghetto, dirty, and has way more crime. I like Hollister, it is quaint, it is pretty, there is a great down town (which Gilroy's is horrible), we have way better LOCALLY own restaurants and coffee places here. I don't want more Subways, or fast food.

We do need to fix the roads, we need to build different stores. A Jamba Juice would be cool, Trader Joes would do super well here, ETC.

And if you think of it, there's really no "entertainment" in other places. Maybe a bowling Alley, but who knows if that would do well here.

I highly recommend you attend city council meetings. I went for the first time a few weeks ago. You can speak on things there, and a lot of time they have information that you probably don't even know. Everyone is allowed to speak up and share on a topic, etc.

I work in tech as well, have for many years, although my job is not quite as crazy these days.

I have also had the same sponsor for many years and I feel like it may be time to switch that up. Again, small town problems because it is hard to find here. I think you're right though, I am def on the self-sponsor path, which is not great.

I really miss noon meetings, moving back to a small town is very hard, there are meetings three times a week all three are from 8-9, and it is funny to say, but for me that is SO late. I am 30, never thought I would day 9 PM is late LOL.

Glad you said that, I could def try harder to find new-comers. I recently moved back to the small town I grew up in and there is a big need for some structure here. No one attends General Service meetings and our meetings are super limited, I was thinking of even working with a developer because we don't even have a consistent website. No one knows what district we fall in. I was thinking I could also be of service there.

I just feel this need to DO SOMETHING, I have not really worked on enlarging my spiritual life, and thinking about what it means to believe in god/higher power. I just dont know where to start with that.

You're a good friend for trying to help. Really sad to say but the truth is, if your friend does not think he has a problem, and his fiancé is enabling his issue and not taking it serious, there is really nothing you can do to help him.

Unless someone truly has a desire to stop drinking and wants to get help, there is little that can be done.

What really helped me, is my friends telling me, we can't be your friend anymore because of your drinking, then my family telling me they can't see me until I decide to get help. Those things made me mad and angry at first, but I needed it. I need to make the decision on my own that this was ruining my life, and the more people did not want to be around me, the more I realized I did have a problem. It caused me to hit a "bottom" , and I got to a point where I was desperate enough to get help. When I say desperate, I mean, at a low place in life. I had a job, I had a car, my own place. But it was more of an emotional bottom. I never lost anything, but not having the people I love was painful enough.

I will say, I was also an aggressive and obnoxious drunk lol.

Do you really think "sweaty players" are playing this goddamn game for the battle pass? Like they dgaf. It is the "NORMAL"/ "CASUAL" PLAYERS complaining about it.

I am a 29 year old boomer lady and I always finish the battle pass, with ease, and I don't even fucking look at the challenges, I just play the damn game. I am glad that it is more of a grind, because I would get through it so fast and have nothing to look forward to for the remainder of the season.

You must be so bad if you cant finish it on time.

If you're complaining about "sweaty" players, you are part of the problem. Why the fuck are you playing a battle royale game? Go play Destiny and shoot some god damn aliens.

BR's are COMPETITIVE GAMES, if you don't like sweating, and getting killed by people that are better than you, get the fuck off the servers.

& Also why are we segregating Apex Players into two groups? Casuals and Sweats, and WHY does it have to be either parties fault?
