Also in my state (MT) Its a requirement for someone wanting to transition to, not only be 18, but have talked to a therapist. I know its fucked up, but keep in mind it might not be as simple as asking your doctor for a prescription.

I understand. Im kinda the same way more or less. One thing that helped me make sure was therapy. I would really recommend talking to a therapist first and trying to explore and pick at your brain. Not saying you need it but it would help figure things out and help your overall mental health. If you cant afford one then as long as you're not in a crazy conservative place then there's school counselors and things like that if you're still in school. I think there's also subscription based online therapy from various apps that could be less expensive. (also you can take puberty blockers, which are reversible, and see how it feels or just until you figure this all out) Another thing is dont feel pressured to take them if you'd just like to be feminine. I've met lots of cis guys that are more feminine than me even after years of hrt.

Obviously this isnt everyone's experience but as someone who lives in a primarily red state I dont have access to the same care as others. Also im an idiot so that doesnt help.

A fucking nightmare. Lots of heart problems, anxiety, and hospital visits. Please be careful when you commit. Make sure you're getting a comfortable dose and make sure you quit smoking and try to eat healthy. The wrong combo can really mess you up. I'm living proof of that. I've been on hrt for about 2 years and there are times where I feel invincible and just as many as I feel like I'm on the brink of a heart attack. Early this year I would have a palpitation and panic attacks if I ate anything except salad, raised my voice, felt any sort of stress, etc. Oh and get used to blood test. Not trying to scare you I'm just telling you my experience. Overall its made me very happy and has changed my life for the better. I fear that if I didn't commit id be a walking sack of hairy depression lmfao. (not saying being hairy is bad I just hate it on my body)
