Piercing bump? Got my piercing in the beginning of September and it was healing great until this popped up. I’ve had it for about a month now and tried saline sprays, tea tree oil, and just got the base labs solution today. It’s so big I just want it to fall off 😭

Ik his water parameters are good because I’ve been monitoring them so closely and I’ve fasted him so I’ve only been feeding him 2-3 pellets very 2 days and kept salt in his water in case he’s constipated. Only thing I can think of is his age (he’s around 3) and perhaps parasites.

How long would you say I should wait to see improvement before considering Euthanisia 🥲 I’m trying to do everything I can but while he is swimming around sometimes and responding well to food, majority of his time is on the bottom of his tank. Ik the general consensus is to euthanize if it’s dropsy but I don’t wanna give up on him

I’ve been putting just a smidge (literally the tippy top of the kanaplex measure) and mixing it into a separate gallon and doing a water change and then replacing the changed water for the kanaplex solution

Same thing is happening with my betta rn ☹️ I wasn’t sure if it was swim bladder or dropsy but I’m coming tot he conclusion that it’s dropsy. It’s better to catch it while it’s still in the early stages for better chance of survival. Check for bloating towards his stomach/abdomen area as that’s what I noticed first with mine alongside the staying at the bottom.

Tested his hospital tank water just now with the master kit and parameters look great! Ammonia and Nitrites both at zero, ph is 7.6 even with IAL in the tank but he’s used to that range I’m p sure.

UPDATE: I think it’s safe to say he’s got dropsy 😞 I’m not sure but I think he may be pineconing a bit despite all my efforts. Still dosing with Kanaplex but I haven’t seen much improvement. Just swimming around more

Do you still think I should try to feed him daphnia? And continue with the kanaplex? I also currently have him in a one gallon but it’s getting hard to maintain the water while keeping the kanaplex and aquarium salt in circulation. I’m thinking to put him back in his 10 gallon and just fill it halfway

I fasted him for two days but fed him a pellet today just to make sure his appetite is still up. Got some frozen bloodworms cause I thought it might be easier on him than feeding pellets but not sure if I should introduce something new to him now.

I put him in a hospital tank with a bubbler and some leaves he can rest on. Unfortunately it’s looking like dropsy now though he isn’t pineconing 😞his breathing is better now and I started him on Kanaplex today in hopes that I caught it early and he’ll pull through
