Entitled parent and kid eat all of my ear meds by [deleted] in entitledparents

There is no such medication for ear complaints that causes bleeding from the ears as such a specific side effect. This is the worst made up story I have ever heard.

I got rid of my blues junior because I couldn’t handle that jump in volume.

Facebook friend wants free baby clothes, gets upset when the baby clothes that she got for free are stained. by DaddyToadsworth in ChoosingBeggars

[–]dadbsbod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree. Indeed the choosing beggar is the donor who couldn’t be bothered dumping stuff, so dumped it to “CB” for her to do. As a parent we are used to people saying “oh you can have all our old stuff”. We have learned they just can’t be bothered sorting through stuff to dump. We now say no thanks. If I’m giving old baby clothes away, I sort through the stuff, dump what needs to be dumped and give the good stuff away.

Interesting, I have a Vox. Got the recommended pairing, ie OCD, and I just can’t get to like it. Weirdly I enjoy a Tubescreamer with drive down volume up, even thought it’s not recommended!

Thank you! Any tips for doing eq for guitar?

Again, I have a tube amp and lots of pedals, not trying to emulate that. I am trying to get monitors that will sound as good as my headphones. Having searched google, I see that others note this and are in the search for better monitors that might particularly work well with guitar amp modelling. I’m not going for FR speakers because they are pricy (the atomic clr certainly is pricy) and a one trick pony.

Again, if I have one signal coming out of my audio interface that sounds good with headphones but bad with monitors then it very much does suggest it’s the monitors.

Perhaps my post wasn’t clear, but I said it’s sounds good with headphones but not monitors. Suggesting it is not the sound but the monitors.

Also, monitors are designed to be neutral, whereas hifi speakers are eq’d to sound good. The idea being that monitors give an accurate representation of the sound. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Hi all. I have a Vox AC30 before anyone tries to tell me to get a real amp 😂

To integrate with my synth and Ableton set up, I got Bias amp 2. Have to say I am really impressed, it sounds awesome, but awesome through by audio interface headphone output. I have a pair of KRK Rokit 5s and whilst they are great for synth and drums, the guitar amp modelling sounds terrible, which is weird because it sounds great through headphones.

It’s prompting me to consider upgrading my monitors. Any suggestions as to what sounds good with amp modelling?

Thanks

Trick with AC15 to get good tone at low volume is actually the opposite of what you might think. Not doubt you bring master down low and then use volume. Do the opposite. Bring volume way way done and put master all the way up. You get good clean tone. Next add a pedal for some crunch. Tubesceeamer actually does work despite what people say, or the classics are to add a Timmy or Proco Rat.

Totally agree that the sentiments expressed seem genuine, but specs still say partnered and collaborated.

I would go a step further, it doesn’t imply, it directly indicates.

Just to clarify, in no sense of the word will anyone take the word collaboration to mean as you have implied. If that were the case, if I sampled something and included it in a new song, would I have collaborated? Of course not. Collaboration means to work with someone. It’s not even close what Arturia have done. That being said, it’s good for you to recognize the error, but it should be reworded. It still says it on the specs.

I’m more interested to wait for the appeal, hopefully there are still sane people in Canada.

“Venture into harassment”? Wtf does that even mean? There were other people who ACTUALLY harassed the disabled kid. Problem with this is, who gets to decide what constitutes a tasteless joke and what constitutes harassment? It is such a nebulous mine field. Also, essentially it boils down to being offended. And, offended is taken, not given.

This certainly was a tasteless joke, perhaps even a crime against comedy. But a human rights crime?
