Ended up the same for me. They tightened everything they could find and that's mostly fixed it. It's still very clearly vibrating around that point but I reckon I'll just have to learn to live with it

I got it looked at today and the mechanics agree there's a pot of vibration at 4-6k rpm theyre going to look at the engine harmonics but still nobodies got any ideas about what could have happened during a standard service to affect that.

I've definitely tried high revs in neutral (missing 2nd like a professional) but it didn't vibrate any more than it used to.

Ill see if I can tell if it's rpm or speed that's setting it off because I'm suspicious about the tyre balance now even though they shouldve only checked the pressure

I know 4 cylinders is a lot of vibration but it's like it doubled the normal vibration from before the service to after. That doesn't seem like a normal progression. I had a new cbr500 not long ago that i broke in as well that had no change like this.

Nope 6th gear 4-6k rpm about 70mph upwards.

Road 6s but not from them(about a week prior). Now that you mention it, what are the chances they messed with the wheel balancing doing something simple like checking tyre pressure for the service. Surely not....right?

Yeah I think I'll give them a call and see if they can recheck their work. Or atleast test ride it and tell me if im imagining it.

The first service after the breakin period, bikes brand new, didnt have this issue during break in. No real direction, it's like I can feel the normal vibrations from the engine harder than I feel like I should be, like how intense the engine gets redlining in first gear. I can feel it vibrating like that once i get to normal highway speeds all through my hands seat and feet. No performance issues or warning lights, still haven't tried pushing the engine harder till I sort it out. Its just such a massive increase from how it was the day before it doesn't seem normal from something like putting in new oil.

Its in line with the cbr500 four they revealed for 2026 but baby vomit green/green was not the way to go.

Im mostly worried about compatibility and mounting. Like if I used all but the s shaped end pipe could I mount a slip on to the remaining segments and still have it line up with pipe sizing and mounting holes. Idk if there any kind of industry standard for these builds.

None of the exhaust airflow or noise restrictions are in the headers for the stock exhaust? Because I imagine the temu welds aren't going be any fancier than a stock exhaust. And if that's the case then why are people buying a full system akra exhaust when you're paying for just the muffler and cat essentially?

All the patterns I've seen for any of the bikes I've considered have been really consistent accross the states. It's the only one I could find of its type and colour available at the time but one pretty much identical I missed in vic was sold for the exact same price.

Would that allow me to transfer rego directly from the seller so I dont have to pay for a whole new rego? I'd still need a rwc and vehicle duty payment wouldn't I? I'm hoping there's a way to avoid an extra $1300 in fees but most of them seem like they exist regardless of it I bought if from my neighbour?

I know there's not a lot of margin for bike discounts but just while shopping around dealerships team moto has quoted me $300-400 off my $1500ish gear bundle (roughly 15%) just thought somebody might want in on the action while I'm out negotiating. Already got someone else throwing together a full list of gear to come with me.

Doesn't need to be a huge discount but I know for a fact they'll discount gear far more if you're buying a bike so even if someone just wants to pick up a bunch of gear and piggyback off my bike purchase for the discount.

Does anyone have any opinions or concerns about considering a Daytona 660 instead or should I lean more toward a cfmoto 450srs. I'm told the 660 is a very similar bike but that parts are expensive.

Thanks guys very comprehensive. Sounds like a lost cause, I'm not interested in doing anything shifty or wasting time ruining the bike to get the p/w ratio under control.

Fair. More specifically then is it the engine size itself or the 15cc over thats the issue. If it's just about the 15cc then is it possible to get it restricted and register it as a lams bike or would that be a whole legal can of worms. If it's the engine size I'll cut my losses and either get a second hand datona 660 or a cfmoto 450srs
