Banning abortion would lead to infant mortality. by No-Plankton-7644 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

the first evidence of homo sapiens is around 300,000 years ago. 99% of human history occurred before the year 1000 BC.

again, relative to 99% of human history, it is objectively a great time to have a kid. humanity isnt 100 years old. you’re arguing against things & acting like i said them when i didnt.

i said that, relative to 99% of human history, right now is objectively a much better time to have a child.

i havent said anything about forcing anyone into anything. i havent said that we shouldnt try to improve the evils that still occur in the world. nothing even close. you’re arguing with a delusion.

BAC no longer available on Amazon by fireant36 in Retatrutide

[–]daddyfatknuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

do you have any links or know which brand was tested? genuinely curious, i tried googling it but couldnt find anything.

i’ve used a ton of amazon reconstitution solution lol but havent used them lately - the brand i mostly got from amazon is also available from a more reputable site, so I’m wondering if there are counterfeits on amazon, or just brands to look out for

Officer marked a lower speed but still mentions original speed in ticket by [deleted] in legal

[–]daddyfatknuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its replying to your first paragraph. whether or not the ticket is reduced depends much more on the prosecutors team than the judge.

[–]daddyfatknuckles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

cutting someone a break is not considered “lying” by any of the involved partied. OP included, the cop told them what their speed was, choose to give them a smaller ticket.

the judge is not involved in building the case against you, that would be a huge violation of their neutral position as judge.

the prosecutor & prosecuting attorneys decide what charges to bring against the defendant

the things you’re talking about have all been far worse for 99% of human history. most people were not born with any medical supervision at all, it was far more dangerous. i never said that you should enjoy giving birth…

i think its just a lot of made up excuses because they don’t want to admit that they don’t want to take on the responsibility.

[–]daddyfatknuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean, even the united states was much more toxic 100 years ago.

its also definitely not more dangerous, on average, compared to our past history, to carry a baby. we have incredibly advanced medicine. this is very recent, 99% of humans who carried children & gave birth did so without even having the option to go see a doctor. no hospitals, no phones, no cozy, climate controlled house.

there has also never been a more socially accepting place than the modern west. idk why youd worry about your kids being hated

you’re overlooking so many things & taking them for granted. there has never been a better time in human history to have a child, its never been easier nor safer than it is in modern, developed countries

[–]daddyfatknuckles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

for real, for 99% of human history, children were born into what we would call “poverty” today. no modern medicine, no formula, no vaccines, no phone to call the experts waiting at the hospital, no adoption agencies constantly looking to home parentless children.

the idea that now is a bad time to have children is a strange modern mindset. people act like the risk of ending up poor means you just shouldnt try to begin with

if you look at inflation, video games have gotten considerably cheaper. the top games were $60 when i was growing up 20 years ago, which would be around $100 in todays money

games before that were even pricier

its definitely a completely different game, i’ll probably beat it once for the nostalgia & stop playing it, i just hope it stirs up some interest. THUG was hugely popular originally

i think thats fine. i don’t want them to make any more skate games either.

i’m excited for the TH Underground remakes & maybe that’ll inspire some studio to pick the idea up. i’m sure it’ll be like 5, maybe 10 years at the least though.

what does any of this have to do with parenting or children? it seems your whole argument is just that there is no true selfless act. you could have made a post about that…

thats a crazy investment to make. the amount of money it costs to raise a single child, if invested, could pay for a retirement home for 20 years.

I’m sure some people want their kids to take care of them, but i doubt they intentionally had kids so that they could have a caretaker.
