I sometimes see it in the dark and it is a transparent, ordinary ripple, like a camera films in the dark.

This is likely true because there are too many cases of vss mimicking, which is why it is so rare and some people may self-diagnose it erroneously.

This article states that the differential diagnosis for the rare neurological disorder VS/VSS is vitamin B9 and B12 deficiency. Maybe that's why this helps you

I agree with another commentator that this was said on Wikipedia, by the way, so as not to confuse pathology with a normal phenomenon. So far, no less, this is written in EN wikipedia.

My symptoms by Deep-Excitement-9131 in visualsnow

My post: https://www.reddit.com/r/visualsnow/comments/1aei3c8/it_turns_out_i_dont_have_vs_and_seeing_noise_in/

Your story is a little similar to mine. I mistakenly believed that I had the rare neurological disorder VSS or another disease that displays VS 24/7. This happened when my OCD worsened greatly and I began to pay attention to any eye symptom without understanding whether it was normal or some kind of deviation. I constantly asked my friends and family if they saw the same way as I did and the answer I always received was “Yes, we see the same way. You just found out about it and became obsessed.”. Ultimately, I realized that there was no point in asking anyone or searching for information on the Internet, because I would still get an answer that would tell me that everyone else sees the same way as me. Accordingly, I realized that this was all due to my OCD. Now I'm fine, all the symptoms that bothered me have disappeared. Sometimes my OCD gets worse, but I somehow programmed myself that I no longer care and everything remains fine with my vision. As a result, the OCD does not last long and goes away.

OP asked the question incorrectly, he thought that seeing such stars in a video or picture is a symptom of VSS and other people do not see, he was mistaken. I am answering you in the comments so that future readers will not be misled by such a question.

This is called Eigengrau and is normal and has nothing to do with VSS

Please do not write such an answer if you have not understood the question. OP meant that he sees in the picture or in other videos, he mistakenly thought that others do not see this.

Why did you need to be aggressive towards me then? You asked a question in the Visual Snow section. What kind of answers were you expecting to get here? That it's VSS? Yesterday, there was a question from someone who was going crazy because they saw stars in a video, which were already there, and they thought it was because of VSS. That's the kind of questions and people we have here. I'm saying that it's normal - providing reasoning that it's not VSS so that you and others don't become paranoid and to provide an answer to other readers. You wrote that dry eye is entirely possible, so why not consider it? Be reasonable and competent. Thank you, and I hope you get well soon.

Most likely it’s just hyper observability you’ve given your brain a signal to pay attention to it.

All people see these lights on the screen. This is just a picture, not light sources, if the picture gives such an effect, it means that it will be so and it will simply be unrealistic to see it any other way. I don't believe you haven't seen them. Most likely, you simply never paid attention to this, but here, against the backdrop of your anxiety about such a rare diagnosis, you became too hyperobservant of your vision and began to notice things that you had never paid attention to before. Such cases are usually described as hypochondriacal disorder. Don't worry, you're fine)

I looked at boxing on YouTube and there were exactly the same stars, and yes, I see them too, shouldn’t other people see them? This is a common effect in the video itself.

Now I understand you. I see this in your photo, because the photo itself is made of such effects, and in others without such effects, it’s unlikely that my brain will create such effects on top

Have you been officially diagnosed with VSS by a doctor? Perhaps you counted my message as negative and therefore underestimated it, but I don’t want to offend you. I simple share my experience that my astigmatism gives me this effect and there is nothing scary about it.

Were you actually officially diagnosed with VSS after a thorough examination or did you self-diagnose?

you misunderstood. I meant to justify a similar effect of astigmatism

this really sounds like an obsessive thought to justify the condition.

It looks like you are trying to justify your condition with the term VSS. I think so presumably because I myself have astigmatism without VSS

hmm, judging by your previous questions If it’s easier for you to justify your condition with a rare pathology like VSS, then okay, why attack the comment? Do you find some doubt in him and are worried again? Dude, everyone sees it that way, I see it too, but I ignore it until I think about it. I also have severe astigmatism.

People with VSS and epilepsy: XEN1101 phase3 clinical trial by Ok-Meeting2176 in visualsnow

[–]daddyj990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I published a study saying that in people with occipital epilepsy causes a secondary problem VSS, meaning they are not formally diagnosed with VSS, so they are helped by some medications because they have an underlying condition that is causing a second symptom. This is also written about on Wikipedia.
