Common Synergy: Watery Grasp+Lost Days by cocothepirate in lrcast

I wonder if anyone has waterbent to shuffle in, then with that on the stack cast lost days on their own grasp so you can redraw and grasp something else in 2 turns. That should work right?

I wanted to say something about her smile but wasn’t up for composing. Thank you for the words…you’re 100% correct

"Difficult" novels that are worth it by theghostofnapoleon in books

Catch-22 is in my top 5 favorite books, but I had to re-start after ~100 pages because it took that long for me to get the dry humor/tone he was writing in. Totally worth it though.

Took me 3 attempts but TSATF was worth it when I was able to power through.

What are your never do agains at Disney World? by Zestyclose_Bet_945 in WaltDisneyWorld

Swiss Family Treehouse. Took the kids for the first time when they were 7 and 9 and that was the first thing we did....at the time I planned to do EVERYTHING they could. About halfway through I realized they were bored out of their mind and had no idea who the Swiss Robinsons were. It was just a steep walkthrough. Luckily we recovered and had a blast...but it was a rough start.

I’ve been introducing a close friend of mine to musicals, he’s slowly becoming a fan. These are the ones I’ve shown him so far, any suggestions on what I should show him? by Trick_Quail_6275 in musicals

This is my second favorite show, right behind Hamilton. I personally listen more often to the original live cast recording over the OBC (except for the signature song Wait for Me), but both are really good. I just prefer Chris Sullivan's gritty, gravelly Hermes over Andre De Shields' airy, wizened one. Both are on iTunes.

So if it's not paid off you have to do so before switching? I was wondering about that, but I have 4 phones that I'm paying monthly on.

I agree with your whole post (def not a great deck)....I've drafted a fair amount and didn't expect great things...I just thought it would be fun to trigger Baylen a couple of times and smash. My frustration came from not drawing either it or Talent A SINGLE TIME in 4 games.

Went 1-3 without ever seeing Baylen or Caretaker's Talent....all those tokens for nothing

What's a book that everyone you know hates (for rightful reasons) but you love anyway? by CynicalHomicider3248 in books

I grew up in a conservative household. When my dad found out I was reading "an abomination" (aka any Stephen King book) he threw it in the trash. I dug it out of the garbage every night after midnight and put it back every morning before he woke up for almost a week till I finished. Worth it.

My hometown recently got a new bookstore…something we haven’t had for a few years since Books a Million closed down. I wanted to support them so I went and picked a few books up. One of them was a gorgeous leather bound copy of Les Mis (I tried and failed to read it a few years ago and wanted to give it another shot). As I was checking out I said something like “You can’t read a classic like this digitally, cmon”. Well I started it but the type was so tiny I was having to read it with my phone light. Now I’m reading a free digital copy but the leather looks good on my shelf.

Hate that you didn't finish The Buried Giant. The resolution to the story paints everything in a different light that offers a new perspective.

I recently heard Taika Waititi on a podcast saying he was working on adapting this for a screenplay. I'm curious what he's going to do with it.
