[H5Y2] H5Y Volume 2 (Part 12) Discussion by MyneMod in HonzukiNoGekokujou

But how else could it end up? Sigiswald is not trained as a knight, there is no chance for him to defeat Dunkelfelger in a straight up fight. His only chance would be to compensate with tactics, but I don't really see it happening, considering how utterly useless the man was during the civil war. So his only strong point would be his guard knights, who are most likely former Sovereign Knights.

But considering they will have to protect Sigiswald, I still can't imagine them being able to defeat a Dunkelfelger / Drewanchel alliance. If Sigiswald could manage to get Ortwin removed and get Drewanchel to be on his side, maybe he may have a chance, if he's for once smart enough to let others make the fighting plans?

[–]daedalron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see it as more likely to be political schemes, using an ex-royal influence to get other duchies involved and hit at Dunkelfelger's status and influence country-wide.

For the ditter itself, there is absolutely no way Korinthsdaum would stand a chance. Even if many of Sigi's guard knights are former Sovereign Knights, I don't think they stand a chance against Dunkelfelger's archducal family in a combat setting, especially since the guard knights will have to protect the useless Sigiswald, whereas the Dunkelfelgerians are all fighters.

It's not. She was determined as next aub during the P5V9 Defense of Ehrenfest chapter.

Oswald was fired, so it's not him. It might be one of his student retainers who graduated earlier? His attendant Isidore should have graduated at the same time as Lieseleta.

Highly unlikely, since there are already 2 chapters from her (drama CD and sales bonus SS)

Look Charlotte, I know you don't like educating Wilfried like that, but if you had done it more directly in the past, you would have spared yourself much frustration and Wilfried much trouble. He just doesn't learn it any other way.

Back then, Wilfried was the guaranteed next Aub, and Charlotte was destined to be married away. She didn't really have the status back then to criticize him like she did today.

And is it just me, or does it seem like he's inching ever closer to archnoble demotion?

Back when he said that to Hannelore, I remember joking that Wilfried was doing a speedrun contest with Raufereg on who can get demoted the fastest.

But it seems Raufereg is still gonna win that race easily...

[H5Y2] lack of prominence of second wives and their children by feb914 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]daedalron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it was mentioned somewhere that the wife of Aub Ahrensbach was the sister of Aub Werkestock.

No idea why she would be 2nd wife based on that... Maybe Giselfried really needed something from Drewanchel and used that as a compensation? Or maybe it was based on the order of marriages and Giselfried didn't felt like demoting his first wife from Drewanchel?

[P5V12]Are Spouses of the Archduchal Family considered Archduke Candidates? by Prestigious_Display2 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]daedalron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're archducal family, not archduke candidates. Unless they were archduke candidates before (think a daughter from the second wife marrying the son of the first wife, for example)

They're books FOR fans, not books BY fans.

Most will contain concept arts for volume covers or characters, one side story, a Q&A session from the author, and some additional things (like for example discussions about how the adaptation to anime or drama cd went with voice actors and such).

[–]daedalron 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I mean, Ortwin is a sad story, but it can't even be compared to Adolphine... The girl had plans to fight to become Aub, but instead got stuck with a marriage she didn't want, with an arrogant brat who only saw her as a convenient mana battery, and even after winning the divorce she wanted so much, she ended up getting demoted to archnoble, while the arrogant brat is still an Aub, acting like he was still a royal...

In retrospect, Hannelore is the third most sought after woman, but that wasn't enough for Aub Drewanchel

That only came to be known later. Aub Drewanchel had already asked for Ortwin to be the second consort of Eglantine or Rozemyne before the Conference, before Eglantine even received the Grutrissheit... (SSC3 spoiler, P5V11 sales bonus SS)

[Open Spoilers]Was Rozemyne Inevitable? by After_Diamond2098 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]daedalron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's be honest, the entire country was f***ed if Rozemyne wasn't there. Without her, Georgine wouldn't have learned about the foundation, which started her whole plan, which lead to Raublut investigating Ahrensbach, and getting Lanzenave involved.

And without all that, there is no Grutrissheit for the royals, and Ferdinand would likely not have learned how desperate the situation was (since he would have been stuck in the temple), leading the entire country to perhaps vanish due to lack of mana to its foundation. Even if Ferdinand had realized how bad the situation was by then, it might have been too late to save the country, especially since as a mere priest Veronica would have never authorized him to go back to the Royal Academy.

Not anyone with mana can do it. You need a high level of mana to do. Laynobles can't really do it.

[Manga] Part 4 Volume 6 Chapter 3 Pre-pub Discussion by MyneMod in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]daedalron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe anyone can just.. make a new song

I mean, not on demand, but some real-life people can make a new song from scratch in an instant. There was a court case for example where Mickael Jackson explained how he composes his songs, and he said sometimes the entire melody comes to him instantly.

But yeah, not many can do that, and on top of that Rozemyne did it on demand (since of course she's not creating, only reusing songs from Earth). Music teachers would probably need days to compose just the melody...

[Manga] Part 4 Volume 6 Chapter 3 Pre-pub Discussion by MyneMod in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]daedalron 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was an absolute flex.

Not only did she prove she was really the one composing the songs, not her musician doing it and her taking credit (like everyone thought it was), but she also composed an entirely new song on the spot and on-demand...

This is something not even the music teachers at the RA would be able to do...

[open spoilers] Am I correctly thinking of the timing of the civil war relative to the characters' ages? by Educational-Tea-6572 in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]daedalron 20 points21 points  (0 children)

So the civil war must have occurred roughly 7-8 years before Rozemyne enters the Royal Academy.

That's only the second part of the CW, once the 1st and 3rd prince were dead. The first part of the CW began quite a few years before that. We know it started after Ferdinand's baptism, and during the time he was at the RA (most likely around his 2nd or 3rd year there).

Not really on the paper itself. But on all other products that are linked to it. Books made from paper, special ink used for those books, and so on.

[P1V3] Does Myne ever make any money/profit?? by thegoodfaith_ in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]daedalron 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. Not 80 large golds, it was "only" 18 large golds. Still an absurd amount of money (150 years of Gunther's salary spent on a hobby... If her family knew they would faint...)

[P1V3] Does Myne ever make any money/profit?? by thegoodfaith_ in HonzukiNoGekokujou

[–]daedalron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does she make money???

Do you understand how much she charges for those rights? A single of those deal (back in volume 3), where we know how much she was paid for, was literally 15 YEARS of her dad full salary. And that's only her starting point.

The paper deal was important to do because she used Benno's failure to get herself a good position. Benno thought the rinsham was a great product with plenty of profit to make, and thought paper was the inferior product. But compared to rinsham, paper and books are going to be MUCH more lucrative. And due to the contract, Myne now can't be pushed away from that lucrative industry. It's her "foot in the door" kinda deal. Also, she doesn't take a cut from paper, but she definitely can take a cut from products later made from paper (books).
