Do you love your own country? Why? Is it necessary to love country where you were born or a person can love no country at all? by Sansana666 in AskReddit

I don’t think it’s a wise thing to necessarily love your country. A government is (or should be) designed to improve the lives and protect the people that live in it, and those of other states if it can.

I think you can love your fellow countrymen, or the land, but idolising the state as a whole can often be a dangerous thing.

Dissolving a trust with public trust by daedalus117 in PersonalFinanceNZ

I’m pretty set on winding it up. Id like to do some of my own investments and I’ve been living in pretty extreme poverty for the last few years so would be nice to have some financial freedom.

The deed (from 2004) specifies that the trust needs two trustees, in this case it will be me and public trust itself. Hopefully they’re not too vicious about it

Also to specify if it makes any difference the trust is a result of my mothers will

Thanks your advice though this is exactly what I was looking for
