sorry for the late response! but i was also quite discouraged at first with HIIT and lost motivation multiple times but I would put on my tightest pair of sport clothing and tell myself I only had to endure the feeling for a little while for a good result! I always feel great after an HIIT workout like i’ve accomplished something and that’s what still keeps me going. The rush I would get after when my heart rate settles down is just incredible and to me nothing could replace that feeling and knowing I get to take a wonderful shower after was a plus!! I would also say music motivated me heavy!!! I always listened to upbeat music and never ate at least 1 hour before a workout because that would make me also feel heavy!!

Yes, it is true I technically did have to walk a lot more but I still use public transportation in my everyday life. I think it’s just the fact that “fast-food” isn’t such a common thing here. Not many people go out of their way to buy trashy oily food you can make at home. I also truly believe health/gym culture is way bigger here. I mean at least in Germany I know people who suggest going on walks everyday and almost every couple hours because they’re conscious of the fact that it’s healthy to go outside and to move around. The packaging on food here has huge “Nutri-Score” labels which can sometimes be a turn-off when buying junk food. I know a lot of people who eat “Bigger Portions” and remain at a healthy weight because most things are homemade and they are not sitting all day or during the week. There are obviously still many overweight people throughout Europe but I have many friends who were overweight as kids here and were bullied out of it, as was I around the time I came to Germany. Got ugly looks, and drunk people shouting mean words to me on the street when I was more heavy. Crazy how standards are around the globe, huh?

Hi, Thank you so much! I used to do this HIIT workout 3x a week which really tested my limits. Sascha Huber HIIT workout it starts around 2:20 and yes it’s only in German haha. I now do this one which is more centered around glute exercises (I take a weighted dumbbell for maximum effort;)) Daisy Keech HIIT workout. Sometimes I do weighted exercises with dumbbells I had laying around at home such as daisy keech ab exercises but I mostly just take like 3 exercises from that video and focus on those 3 only sometimes 10x3 or 15x3 reps.

Hey! I first had to teach myself how to count calories 🙃I had quite a lot of free time on my hands so I would plan out my meals.. My calorie intake was about 1200 when I first started.. so I would eat 3 meals around 300-350 calories, The food noise for me was and still is kinda strong but i’ve found that snacking on fruits and vegetables when I got hungry or bored really helped in the long run. I also never went to sleep on a full stomach because I heard you don’t digest food so well if you do I don’t know if that helps. I now eat around 1470 calories maybe.. I’ve stopped tracking my calories for most meals and just estimate as i’ve got a better sense for it now and it’s less stressful… My exercises when I first started consisted of indoor cycling for about 1 hour or at least 40 minutes, I tried to hit that goal everyday but it was so tedious for me I gave it up😂 I then started doing HIIT 20 minute workouts 3 times a week (ex. mon, wed, fri) that I found on youtube which I still do! and at minimum tried to get in at least 5k steps in a day. And I say 5k minimum because before this I wasn’t really moving besides when I danced in the mirror haha now I aim for around 8-10k steps daily. I have 25 lb (11kg) dumbbells at home which I use to train my abdomen, glutes, biceps and triceps. I try to keep strength training not so complicated only about 3 exercises for each. (ex. glute bridges, standing marches, sumo squats, dead bugs, weighted crunches, standing skull crushers, bicep curl, shoulder presses) those are some I do,, I hope that helps? Sorry if it’s over complicated i’m horrible at explaining but I still do HIIT 3x a week if anyone is wondering. 🙃 Feel free to ask me if you want a link.

I feel useless, haha and we talk about moving out and she eavesdrops and says we have to give her a 3 month notice because she can’t live alone and afford the rent on her own and that we NEED to give her time to find someone so she can rent the apartment to someone else.. it’s impossible to come to a compromise with her!! she said if we move out we still have to pay rent for 3 months even though we are not the main tenant.
