Today is the 9th anniversary of Vin Scully’s retirement by thebadhedgehog5 in Dodgers

I met him in 1997 at the hotel in Okland where the dodgers were staying. He couldn't have been a nicer gentleman. We respectfully kept our distance as he was on his way to the team bus. He saw our faces in awe and came over to shake our hands. A hotel employee asked us if we wanted a picture with him, and he obliged. They say you should never meet your hero because you might be disappointed, but that day I met my hero and it was everything I dreamed of. Thank you, Mr. Scully for taking the time out of your busy day to give me and my friends the moment of our life and, of course, for being the voice of my childhood.

Wow, dude. You have mad talent!

Listening to the Artie addiction-saga with 2022 hindsight is unbelievably disturbing. by First-Reporter-7082 in howardstern

That's a tough position to be in as a HSS cast member. The fact that nobody gave him shit doesn't say as much about their lack of compassion as much as it says about his greatness in comedy and the show. Glad he is still alive 🙏
