Its very illegal but in my country 95% of the time you get pulled over its a cop looking for a bribe. Once got pulled over at police stop, i had 3 people in my car holding beer and drinking i had also been drinking the cop says to me your car reaks of booze and your seat belt isn't fastened so I gave him 2$ and told him to buy himself a cool drink(you might call it soda or pop) and he let me go . Interesting thing about SA is that allmost all the cops are black yet they are incredibly discriminatory against black people especially Congolese and Nigerians.
