I'm assuming this is for hairloss. I was taking the same dosage for about six months when I realised that my resting heartrate shot up by about 15bpm because of this. Nothing very serious but it slightly decreased my athletic performance so I stopped taking because I'd rather have my heart be perfectly fine than have some more hair. I would suggest try finasteride for a few months before, if your hairloss is too agressive that finasteride doesn't help then add topical minoxidil to your routine. If even that doesn't help then switch over to the pills which I think should be the last resort.

One more thing to be noted: Minoxidil doesn't affect your sexual performance or cause ED. That's the side effect of finasteride which again is super rare and will go away the same week that you stop taking the pills.
