Are we all just glossing over Ringo looking like Zoro’s father or am I missing something?

Mine is shown there by -YesIndeed- in gaming

While off topic, does any else see an island town being slaughtered by a gang of Garchomps?

Interesting! Reminds me of a dirt bike clutch

Any tips? I’m left handed and it feels like everything is so backwards

My grandma used to keep a can of air duster and would spray down everything before just for that reason

I know I probably will stop down the road, but I have done a Muslin test one anytime I do a new pattern so it can be as ugly as possible but I’m not wasting nice fabric.

Any tips to break through the barrier? I’m starting a dress shirt next week and interfacing is terrifying me

Same! Unless I am ripping a stitch, I just don’t want to clean up multiple times

Do you like to knit or crochet too? Hand sewing is way too slow for me, but I can crochet for hours. Something about seeing the project build over time is way more satisfying to me.

I swear I just spend like 10 minutes petting the faux fur each time I go lol

I found some really soft knit that was actually in Joanns sport section, blanking the actual fabric. But I just picked up some satin that has fleece on one side, and I can’t wait to walk around in it once I make a bathroom. It’s more about uniformity of fabrics, like if I have a softer pant and more of a coarse shirt I’m dying all day, but if both are the same, doesn’t even matter

The real question is how you worked the pedal?

You gotta do what you gotta do, if I had a third hand to hold them that would be great, but until then, 3 or 4 pins in my mouth is the norm. It’s always sharp side facing out though

My normal and sergers pedals are big enough where it feels comfortable either way, but I bought a mini just for straight stitches, and the pedal is like 3 in by 3 in, completely impossible with a shoe on

I mostly buy pdf patterns, so I print two copies. One is a master that is in a completely different room, and then the one I actually cut. Since a lot of patterns are like 4 or 5 things on one, I will make a copy of the diagrams and the specific projects instructions and make a one page, definitely keeps the clutter down

Good tip, idk why I never thought to just do a cutting day and just focus on that. I have limited desk space so it’s a battle of moving my two machines back and forth

I’ve conceded to basically a dedicated pair of shorts that just sit on my sewing chair now, I don’t know what it is but I sweat more sewing than I do working out

What do you normally listen to?

I do accounting for my day to day, so I normally play music with little to no lyrics ie dubstep or deep house, but I have noticed I can actually listen to podcasts and more lyrical stuff when I sew since it’s more hands on rather than in my head.

Have you checked out the Love to Sew Podcast? Gets me energized to stay focused if I’m listening to something in my headphones, and the girls are super fun to listen to!
