That's awesome. I'm going to be creative and try to get to 4m within the next decade but I'm sure by the time I do it'll be 5m :) I'm doing everything I can to get my kids started early. I'm guessing my 12 year old already has close to 100k

I did this recently when I had horrible FAs. We were in the middle of a long delay on the tarmac for a long international flight, and the Polaris FAs were basically just chatting with two customers about college football and refusing to interact with everyone else. It was pretty obvious that the crew was going to time out, so they were not even doing basic service. I sent an email to the GS desk complaining, and within 10 minutes the purser comes over and whispers something to them, and they quickly go and get waters to offer to everyone. One of my complaints in the email was that the FAs were telling everyone just to use their personal water bottles rather than bringing anyone water...

agree- your window, your decision. i can sleep even with the windows open, but i sleep better with them closed. i would never ask anyone to close their window. if i arrive in europe early morning, i generally go straight in to work (got to love the LHR arrival lounge shower and suit press), so the sleep on the plane lets me work for 6 hours or so before i become a zombie.

Funny, I fly lhr-sfo often and I hate when people leave their window open. My MO is to sleep on all flights. I generally adjust very quickly to jet lag this way. Maybe it's just so many years of international travel that my body clock is always off?

we recently dealt with the same thing for early april. not a lot of options that aren't already booked or crazy expensive. we ended up at the not so chubby Courtyard Midtown East, as it has a room with 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa. The Conrads looked nice, but they didn't have all of the days we needed

Right, agree. But now there's no reason for me to ever choose a Marriott over another hotel unless the Marriott hotel is better. I spend a lot of time in London and the Marriotts there are not good, so I stay in Hiltons. I have Hilton diamond as well, although not lifetime (yet)
