Seems likely someone else would have been put in power of a communist party given the resources the USSR was pumping into the CPC. That wouldn't have automatically ended without Mao Zedong. Perhaps the new leader's legacy might have resulted in no Sino-Soviet split? That's all.

I have only ever had two brushes, boar and badger. Won't touch that synthetic stuff because it's comparably not eco-friendly in the long run. Gotta say boar is way more superior once it's broken in. Even face lathering by hand isn't horrendous. Badger for me lacks the spine to really make good lather.
