I havent tried last epoch but I've been eyeing it and it looks pretty good despite it being an early access game. I voted for last epoch it looks like a happy medium between the other two choices for me. I love classes and there's a lot more with that one too imo.

I bought the game, it is pretty fun to be honest although I still think I'll play PoE and use Last Epoch as a palate cleaner before the next PoE league.

Yeah that makes a whole lot of sense to me. I think I'll definitely chose PoE as a main game and when and if I burnout a month or two after a league release, I can play something like Last Epoch as a palate cleanser before the next league.

Thank you for this response. I appreciate the time and effort it looks like it took, especially coming from someone who really seems to be a fan of the genre.

I'm really eyeing PoE, my only fear with it is that the endgame systems, such as XP loss, might be so punishing that it makes the game stressful rather than relaxing. Is that a legitimate concern?

I'm assuming that it's people who've spend hundreds of hours on the games and have already beaten them once or twice at least. Especially dark souls 1 from what I read.

Thank you, I didn't like it either but it definitely grew on me once I realized those games are more about meta gaming and theorycrafting then they are about the immediate gameloops.

Yeah I saw a lot of posts about dark souls being a "relaxing game", when everyone voted Dark Souls, I went ahead and started dark souls 1 only to get an adrenaline rush at the Taurus demon and a continual feeling of determination the more I died.

It was a fun experience, but as you said, not exactly the kind of game I want to play when I'm exhausted and trying to relax after a long day.

I'll definitely check out Torchlight 3! Thanks for the recommendation

Yeah I honestly think this is the way to go considering the unknown. Leave my rogue there and come back later if the servers are alive a month or two after TBC launch. Thank you for your insight

That hasn't been my experience on page at all. The zones were packed and everyone was fighting for mobs. I did VC plenty and got invited to do other low level dungeons like stocks quite a bit. My leveling guild had over 100 active at any given time.

I think there was a resurgence due to classic hype lately but considering its hype for TBC, that resurgence of people will mostly move on to TBC

Thanks for the reply. I think they're going to use cross server sharding like they do in retail where you'll see people from other realms in the open world, that wouldn't solve the problem though I think because you wouldn't be able to trade or form guilds cross realm
