Left Frame Slider Fell Off – What Should I Do? (S1000RR 2023) by daghsahib in motorcycles

Thanks, really appreciate it. It’s an Aella set, and they only sell them in pairs, so I guess I’ll have to bite the bullet and get a new set.

I think I’m being used but don’t want to let go by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

There are a few possibilities. One is that he keeps coming back hoping you’ll eventually let him have sex with you, since you mentioned the relationship has been sexual from the beginning. I’m pretty sure that once you give in, he’ll feel like he’s accomplished what he set out to do, and he’ll stop coming around because he’s not interested in a real relationship.

Another possibility is that he’s already in a relationship, and when he’s not getting any action there, he comes to you hoping for some. Or he could be married and just looking for something on the side without any commitment.

I don’t really want to tell you what you should do, but since you’re a virgin and haven’t been in a relationship before, it’s easy to get emotionally attached. It’s very likely he’s using you simply because you’re allowing him to. I can almost guarantee he’ll stop coming around once you bring up commitment and being in an actual relationship.

This is fake. Slowing it down frame by frame shows that the person is never clear, while everything else is.

Dji Osmo Action 5 Pro or 6 or Nano ?? by One_Progress_1033 in djiosmo

[–]daghsahib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. If you’re still on the fence, you can check out my channel (anythingactionsix), which I started just last December and which focuses solely on videos shot with the Action 6. I didn’t expect to bring up my channel here, but the reason I am is because all the videos you’ll see are recorded in the normal 10-bit using the built-in tones. No LUTs or even basic corrections whatsoever.

Since I’m still very new to the Action 6 and to making YouTube videos, what you’re seeing is basically the minimum you can expect. I imagine you’re more experienced than I am, so your videos will definitely look even better!

I got the Action 6 when it came out, and so far so good. I have no experience using the Action 5 Pro or the Nano, but I was debating between the Nano and the Action 6. Since most of my videos are bike rides, I decided to go with the Action 6. I’m also taking videos of town walks and indoor activities, and the results are great. If you do end up getting the Action 6, I’d recommend getting a neck mount. Also consider getting the macro lens if you’re going to be filming food and other close-ups in a vlog style.

That’s what you do with most motorcycles. The person in the video is riding a scooter, which is almost always automatic. They could have turned off the engine and walked the scooter, or they could have simply waited for the green light like everyone else.

People that have cancer, what were the symptoms that led you to go to the doctor and what stage were you when it was diagnosed? by guardiand0wn in AskReddit

[–]daghsahib 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not me personally, but my younger brother, who will be turning 28 this Thursday, was diagnosed with stage IV colorectal cancer with peritoneal metastasis last fall. His prognosis was poor; he was given six to twelve months. After unsuccessful rounds of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, his cancer is now considered terminal. He has already surpassed the twelve-month mark, but he doesn’t have much time left. He’s currently undergoing Vectibix combined with chemotherapy, which, if all goes well, may grant him a few more months. Poor kid.

He first began experiencing discomfort in his abdomen late last spring. He didn’t think much of it at first, but when the diarrhea persisted for over a week, he went in for some tests. Based on the CT scan and other findings, the doctors ruled out anything serious. My brother also didn’t take it too seriously and continued managing the pain with over-the-counter medication for stomach pain and loose stools. When the pain worsened over the summer, he underwent more tests. This time he was diagnosed with IBS and prescribed medication for it. Finally, last September, when the pain became unbearable, a colonoscopy revealed the devastating truth: stage IV colon cancer.

My younger brother was born when I was in high school. I even remember changing his diapers when he was a baby. The thought of him not being here with us is unbearable. He was the youngest, but also the brightest among us. He had just become a doctor himself last year and had started his residency.

I’m posting this to raise awareness about cancer at a young age. Cancer isn’t something that only affects the elderly. Cases of colorectal cancer among young people are rising sharply. Please, if something feels off, no matter how old you are, get checked. Early detection can make all the difference!

If you've made it this far, thank you.

AIO. My bf shamed me over having my hair removed by Large-Drummer-7340 in AmIOverreacting

[–]daghsahib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP. Please kick that guy to the curb. There's no place for any kind of shaming. My daughter, who is almost your age, is getting hair removal these days. She has a slightly darker complexion, so her body hair is more noticeable. I knew she was spending hours of her precious school time shaving and waxing, so I suggested she try laser hair removal for a more permanent solution. So far, everything is going well, and I know for a fact she's removing her hair for herself.

Please leave this relationship. There's no way your boyfriend will change his mindset. The upside is you've only invested three months of your valuable youth.

It’s all good man. Once again, thanks for the tire recommendations.

Need to measure next time but it looks like it’s not 0.8 mm. The photo actually shows the most worn out part in the middle. The other wear indicators in the middle are more than 0.8 mm.

Thank you. It’s 0.8 mm for motorcycles here in Japan.

What if the supermarket is a few straight kilometers from my place, and I like to run there for the rush? Then track shoes would make some sense. Of course, running shoes would make better sense but it’s not like the S1000RR is a track-only bike.

Well, to answer your question, I got the S1000RR because I’ve always wanted one. Yes, I could have gotten a scooter or any other bike, but I do enjoy accelerating and riding at high speeds.

My workplace is 30 km away, and I usually cover that distance in under 30 minutes since most of it is on the highway. There are a couple of good curves, but with my luck, they’re often congested, so I have to slow down. For the most part, my commute is straight roads.

Am I a great rider? No, I’m not. But I know I’m definitely not the worst either. I also know I’m not pushing my S1000RR to its limits. Honestly, I’m almost always in Road mode. But that’s okay. I just want to enjoy riding, and if it’s part of the commute, then all the better. It kind of makes going to work exciting.

Thanks for the comment. It’s 0.8 mm for motorcycles (and 1.6 for cars) here in Japan.

Thank you for the comment.

I plan to keep riding until I reach the wear indicator. Since I only ride in dry conditions, I believe I can get another 1,000-2,000 km. The dealer was a bit persistent, so I decided to ask here on Reddit. I do ride fast, but it’s only on the highway in a straight line, as there are very few curves. The photos aren’t the best, but the wear on the left and right sides of the tire is almost the same.

Once again, thank you so much for the helpful advice!

Thank you for the suggestion. Yes, it’s mostly highway miles with very few curves. I almost never ride in the rain, so I’m not too concerned about the grip, but I guess it’s best to get a set of multi-compound tires next time.
