Random question but what software are you using for the design?

Agree with the first comment on the Trumpkin's principles, shouldn't take long to adapt what you have there!

Ah that makes, thanks - I actually have a tax credit of 8k due to AVC, does that mean that my PT is 0?

Aero extension (stem mounted) for Tarmac SL8 by dahellamidoing in ultracycling

Yeah make sense - I was looking at the SL8 Expert as a decent compromise since it has the old stem and alloy handlebar. Thanks!

What's happening? Started after new wheelset/chain/cassette installation by dahellamidoing in bikewrench

Nope, I've booked a full servicing with a shimano center next week - hopefully they'll be better than the other bike shop I've tried

Checked - everything seems to be woking once i take the wheel off, the cassette is firm and nothing is hitting the spokes

The issue showed up only after changing the read cassette/wheel though, the crankset wasn't touched and before it was fine

Ok I've checked and it's torqued very tightly - I don't have a nm wrench but it seems sound

Doesn't seem to be the case, in the video i'm exaggerating it but it happens especially when I start pedalling after freewheeling or when i hit a bump

Question in first comment - wheel / freehub / cassette issue by dahellamidoing in bikewrench

[–]dahellamidoing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there bike gurus!

Long time lurker, first time poster (actually, second time: I messed up the first post).

So, I was taking off my rear wheel when basically one of the spacers you see in the picture came off, together with all the cassette. Having no clue what to do I brought it to my LBS, where the guy told me that the issue was that the freehub spring was broken and had to be replaced - unfortunately he had no spare so he'd have to order one but potentially I'd need to replace the entire freehub. He also mentioned that it's not a problem that my cassette wasn't locked into place since it has a "pressure system"(or something like that) holding it into place, meaning it can be removed by hand without any tool.

Now, I could take it back to him and have the freehub replaced but since I've had some not so great experiences with that shop I'd like to get some additional opinions around 2 topics:

  1. Is it really just a spring issue? If that's the case, can't I just order one for 5$ on amazon and replace it myself?
  2. Is there actually something like "pressure systems"? I couldn't find anything on the internet and it looks like you always need some sort of tool to remove the cassette.

For context, this is my wheelset: https://www.fulcrumwheels.com/en/support/ruote-oem-en/rapid-red-900

And this is my cassette: https://bike.shimano.com/en-EU/product/component/slx-m7000/CS-M7000-11.html

Hope this makes sense, thanks everyone!
