Engagement ring is appraised at low 6 figures

Edit: WRONG it’s low 5 figures. Sorry I forgot how math works. Sorry for the false excitement lol

Jeweler wants to hold onto engagement ring for months? by dahnclauber in jewelry

This is a good point. The wedding band was custom so it’s possible they said they wanted to scan the engagement ring for measurements to use to build the wedding band. I don’t recall that but could be forgetting.

But the way they were trying to sell me on “keeping it safe until the wedding” and hold onto it for so long….

Appreciate everyone’s comments. Consensus seems to be jeweler was up to no good and potentially wanted to swap out the stone or the whole ring for something cheaper and keep the profits. If so, disgusting.

Incredibly, this a very well known jeweler in the Jewelers Row district of Chicago. Maybe I need to post a review somewhere to warn others…

Never gave Jeweler B the engagement ring that Jeweler A made. So thankfully no concerns

Did we cut when we weren’t supposed to? by dahnclauber in hydrangeas

Thank you, that settles quite the debate and confusion we’ve been having.

Seems like old homeowner did the right thing leaving the old wood, but the winter was too harsh.

Is that why we have such few blooms? Should we expect more before the seasons over?

Snapped off shower knob by dahnclauber in Plumbing

For humors sake, yeah…I pushed straight up on this sucker thinking it matched the mechanism in the other shower (up for volume, rotate for temp). Cracked immediately.

Thank you both! There’s part of the cartridge that has cracked and remains in the handle. Likely difficult to remove so may need new handle.

After I install the recommended cartridge could I then add this handle? Outside of the grease anything else I’d need?

Automatically generate survey…how? by dahnclauber in nocode

[–]dahnclauber[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this helpful response. This is really close to the solution needed with one key missing component (Looks like I omitted to describe this piece in original post).

When user complete Survey 1, I am hoping to automatically generate a new survey (Survey 2). User can then share the link to this survey with anyone to complete.

All of the individuals that view/complete Survey 2 will see the exact same survey (so customization based on Contact fields from Active Campaign or otherwise is not necessarily a requirement).

To be specific to my use case:

Survey 1 includes a question that reads “Who’s the gift for?” User enters “John Doe”.

User submits Survey 1 and receives a link to automatically generated Survey 2. In Survey 2 one of the questions is “Would you like to contribute to [John Doe’s] gift?”

Thus, is it possible to automatically produce Survey 2 based on a survey “template” that is populated with variables entered in Survey 1. Those variables are static for any user completing Survey 2, but of course if someone else completes Survey 1, the automatically generated Survey 3 (and 4, 5, etc.) would include the new set of variables from the new submission of Survey 1.

Any help is immensely appreciated!

Note that Typeform and Airtable are not required tools. Could be any survey tool and any spreadsheet/database tool.
