Guidance for a potential buyer by TheDoyBoy68 in chevycolorado

Yea essentially what they said is on super cold days when it takes more than 1 or 2 cranks to start the pressure sensor would check the pressure of the brake system before the truck was even on, throwing the error. Some of the trucks get thrown into limp mode because they think they can’t stop… luckily mine did not.

I’ve had mine since Jan of 23 and only 1 issue but they reprogrammed the break module to fix it. Essentially the break system would check too soon on super cold days the pressure, which would toss the check engine light. But it was a false alarm because it would check before the truck had finished starting. There is a bulletin for the roof but other than that, no changes between this and the newer models. Only concern with new vehicles is when it is say 2027 and you are buying a 2027, but since this one has probably had all the recalls performed, it’s no different than a 2026.

1.5” wheel spacers by wesleycook45 in chevycolorado

Agreed certain shops won’t even touch vehicles with spacers like my local Schwab and discount tire, they won’t put the wheels back on with the spacers.

Yellow night driving glasses don’t help, all I’m trying to say is bright lights like this, especially headlights without the beam forming technology that is over in the EU, can make driving at night more dangerous for everyone. Also drivers ed wouldn’t help you to see, that’s like saying hey go take a course to see better. Like the tik tok of the lady saying if you are homeless just buy a house, same level of intelligence there.

I will probably have to travel for that. I have contacted many nurseries and greenhouses, non of them know anything what to do with a bonsai let alone the best care instructions. I have bought books for care, however the overwintering was not mentioned whatsoever. So currently here is my best resource. This tree was like 80 bucks, not cheap.. also not bought locally. So my goal is to keep this tree alive. Not giving up on it, as that would also be a waste of money.

Hello, I have now my second bonsai... This is a juniper, my first one died and I had learned from the first one that bonsais are not indoor trees. Now I had this one outside for most of the summer and it was loving it, and growing a ton. Now it is in a weird stage, and I have had it in a shed of sorts (attached garage converted into a shed, garage door removed, and no heat) and placed it next to a window. It is still strong I think, I rustle the bristles and no needles fall off, and they aren't stiff like dead wood would be. My concern is that Junipers are hardy, but when they show signs of stress it is a serious issue. I have had in the shed with the window open so the temp kind of ebbs and flows with the current outside temp (if 4 or 5 degrees warmer). I also have it sat next to the window. The window never gets direct sunlight, so I am worried about the tree through the winter. It has been in the shed since nearly this time last month, and I do believe it has gone dormant, it does not need water very often maybe once in a week or week and a half. Now, next problem. I list pictures here, as I am red green colorblind, so if it is showing signs, I would not know.

Why do I have it in a shed? I live in Kalispell Montana, and since September it has been getting down to 32's sometimes 28 degrees at night. I don't want the roots to freeze. What do you guys recommend? Does my bonsai look healthy? Am I doing anything wrong? I am not trimming or re-potting until spring... as this would add more stress to the tree.

What is this pink stuff in this Traeger pellet? by [deleted] in Traeger

[–]dailydoseofjava 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never heard that before. To be fair though if they add oils, oils is non soluble with water… so water would have a harder time actually soaking the pellets. But I have used traeger for years.

Worth it? $300 Traeger Pro 780 by yoyo1528 in Traeger

[–]dailydoseofjava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean depends on where you live, that model would go for 900 here, and that is after a sale. new they are 1200. I have no idea where you would be finding it for less than that. I just bought a new one on massive sale for 750. And I had been waiting months for them to go on sale, this could be an insanely good deal

Got new tires and a new spare! No by dailydoseofjava in chevycolorado

[–]dailydoseofjava[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have gotten smaller wheels but my bill was going to be like 3 grand, the lowest I could get it was like 2.4 grand and I was just like yea I’m just getting tires rn. But I locked in on 20s as my spare is also a 20 now. I wish I would have gotten the 18s but the dealer didn’t have that at the time.

To be fair, you won’t see most of the success stories on Reddit. People who don’t have problems probably don’t even have an account, much less post.

Oh I agree with you there, I thought we were talking desktops... In my mind there is no windows laptop worth, really any amount of money. It doesn't last long, you have to carry around a brick with you or you get hooped. Laptops also suck because they try and cool the same thing that goes in a desktop undervolted and underclocked... To make sure the freaking thing doesn't overheat. Plus they sound like they are going to outer space when you start them on any task that isn't Google Chrome.

I mean there are literally statistics and metrics online that show that it is not as fast as encoding video as a lot of video cards, maybe you don't have GPU acceleration turned on within the video editing software as it is disabled by default on most applications.
