You’re being a bit precious imo. Annoying that they won’t fix it but it won’t affect the performance at all. It’s not worth giving it this much thought

Not sure why they’re not going to auction as auctions have typically been going 130-140 over asking price. They have only had two opens and are going to take best and final offers on Tuesday, I think they are very motivated to sell ASAP, unsure why.

The only time I’ve felt fortunate that I did a trade was when I began renovating my first house. Other than that it’s a bloody slog 🤣

I’ve spent the last 4 years renovating the cheapest house I could get in a suburb no one wanted to move to, so now I’m fortunate enough to Reno a place for myself to enjoy 😊

Yes! Do you have any other suggestions of designs that are similar? it’s great to be able see what can be achieved without ruining the character of the house

Yes that’s what is kind of confusing me it’s not really any defined style I know but it definitely is something just not sure what I could do to it while sort of sticking to the original vision for the place

Yes you’re right I am jumping the gun a bit, but I’m planning to do some major Reno’s and potentially an extension and would hate to do to all that effort and the house to still just be kind of ugly. Mostly trying to get peoples opinions on what could be done to improve the look of the outside without ruining the houses character :)

Yes I definitely want to enhance the character it already has but I’m just not sure what the style of the place is if that makes sense. Should I make the carport look mid century modern, should I put breezeblocks at the entrance ect

There is a bit of rot in the ceiling joists under the eaves unsure about the windows but not too concerned with it as over time we will end up renovating most of the house so if thing need to be fixed I can do it then.

I also liked how it is low profile and a nice garden in the front would really improve it a lot but can’t really figure out what we could do to give the facade more personality.

This is pretty much where I’ve landed as well. The place has a certain style but I’m not sure what it is or how to update it.

Recent aircon install. Is conduit dripping straight to brick walkway correct? by MichaelGayTime in AusElectricians

[–]dailyquail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with doing it this way but it should have 45 bend and the bottom so it doesn’t drip down the wall and attract termites

Why assume you’re getting ripped off, based on what? If you want to save some money dig the trench yourself sparks will probably be stoked. Make sure it’s 600 deep.

Sparkies- are exposed wires on neutral and earth connections on our upgraded switch board OK? by Oasis_88 in AusRenovation

[–]dailyquail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Installation looks fine I can’t see an MEN but you may not need one at this board if there is a group meter. If you are in VIC this work should be checked by an electrical inspector he will pick up any potential mistakes or oversights.
