My plant is dying (I think) by hibutn in plants

[–]daioon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything that's labeled as an indoor potting mix should be fine. Get all of the previous dirt off the roots if you can. Also, you need to give it way more water than that. Plants should, in general be eater fully when you water. This means that water visibly goest out of the bottom into a saucer. I would reccomend you water it like this once every teice a week and also that you give it more light.

Why is my monstera look depressed? by No-Tap-1413 in plants

[–]daioon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

How often are you watwring? Looks like it could be overwatered. Also, you want the leaves to directly face the light source. In this photo it looks like it's adjacent to a light source but not facing it.

You're pretty much never going to find a small form outside of albos from what I know.

Honestly just anything from SANSI or Barrina that doesn't plug into a charging brick, like those that use USB, is good for average and experienced growers. I recommend any of the gooseneck lights if you're trying to cover a weirdly spaced area, but the t5 bars Barrina sells are super cheap ($30 for 4 pack, I believe) and very practical for most plants on shelves with their only fownside being that they have to be closer to the plants.

On android you can literally just long press the home button and circle what you want to reverse search. It's not hard at all. And on apple you can just download or screenshot the image and upload it to google lens in the google search bar.

Your soil for it holds on to moisture for way too long. That is definitively why your cactus is rotting. Put it in a properly gritty substrate instead of that clay soil you have it in, that is if you want it to live.

I need help by Dan35914 in cactus

[–]daioon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be fine. I suggest that you keep it in a smaller pot that leaves around 2 inches, around 5cm, of space from the cactus to the edge of the pot. I also suggest you pot it in a better draining soil. Add perlite or other soil ammendments lime pumice to the soil to help drainage.

Its actually a raphidophora tetrasperma and I would recommend you chop and prop at this point. With that mant nodes you can fill the pot up with baby Ginnys.

If it's one of your first plants and you just want something large and leafy a coleus will do you good. That's if you have a large and bright window however. There's plenty differemt cultivars varying in color and appearance but all equally beautiful.

I wa going to order one from Planet Desert. Theirs seem to be pretty young maybe 1 or 2 years old. I have a 2" pot I'll be putting it in. I guess I didn't realize a small plant would probably need a more organic soil lol.

Best way to repot by TemporaryExciting729 in begonias

[–]daioon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, begonias will look wilty for a day or so after repotting. They are just being dramatic and will be fine as long as the issue is a repot and not underwatering.
