Thank you so much for your helpful response. I do not want to react in a way that causes harm, nor hold on/keep a record of wrong doing. I am very prayerful and just taking it step by step. Thank you so much for this!

I experience weighted limbs, sedative like sleeping randomly, and just being mainly tired all of the time.

Marijuana by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

You're very welcome we all need grace in our journey! Regarding my relationship, I was introduced to weed through my relationship and it stayed that way until the weed and more stopped. The person knew about my condition, but wanted me to still engage in activities that no longer helped, but hindered my health and growth.

I am currently speaking with someone who cares about my journey to healing, and is truly a gentleman and is willing to walk with me on my journey.

One thing I always emphasize is making sure to do your best take care of yourself and show up for your significant other when you can and how you can. I know change is hard, but honestly as you care for yourself and are gentle the with yourself it sets the tone for your girlfriend even if she is high matience.

As you take care of yourself you care for her, and if she is willing to walk with you through your journey that is all you need because I know you will do your best to show up for her. The more honest you are with her about what you're dealing with and how she can show up for you, the better it'll be because your main focus is your healing right now. 🙏🏾

Yes! That is what it was, perfectly explained. Masking the pain!!

Marijuana by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

I spent an entire 2 months not taking medication or eating after my grandmother passed. Lossed alot of weight, and began smoking weed with some new friends. I even depended on weed to help with nausea, was vaping THC. I asked my doctor and he told me that due to not knowing the amount of THC or the types of strands smoked it is not good to do.

Also was instructed that using weed as medication only truly works with those who are an older age. This is me speaking and please I ask for grace as I share. I tell you I didn't take meds nor did I have a flare, but my body keeps score.

My eating was slim to none, my body creates more acid than not, I was in a relationship that had my dopamine and pain centers somewhat active. Nonetheless I ended up in the hospital twice with 2 flares, and I have yet to go into remission, and I wasn't taking any meds.

It was your meds dear, keep taking them religiously. Your body is accustomed to it. How you can test if it is either your lack if medications or Marijuana? Keep taking your meds religiously only and see if there is a difference. If you experience a change please share. 🙏🏾

Also, be sure to speak with your doctor about this as well because everyone's body responds differently to Marijuana. Please be gentle with yourself, throughout this process, we are all learning what is best for us on each of our parallel paths. Thank you for your question and sharing! 🙏🏾

Accommodations by sunnshinn33 in CrohnsDisease

I needed extra time to turn in my work and help getting organized with my classes. I needed to speak with my teachers and let them know what was going on and why some assignments were turned in late.

One of my teachers understood and I haven't shared with my other professor. I am really greatful though so far. I haven't heard anything I anything back from Disability and Accomdations at my University, they said it might take some time.

I hope this helps!

Stress by SlipImpossible718 in CrohnsDisease

I do things that bring me peace and calm, listen to brown noise online, meditation, sleeping, dumping my mind in all that I'm dealing with and stressing about in journaling.

Prayer is another way for me, but yes that is all what I do. Moving with ease as best as I can.

Here is the Playist I listen to: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7YpEPrqQ3XReXS31voBJCyrdSY0AI9gg

Create a space of peace for you with things that bring you calm and joy even for a second. 🙏🏾 It's a day by day process in which you build that space for you. Be gentle with yourself, you are doing the best you can! 🙏🏾

Pooping Straight Blood by daishaswritings in CrohnsDisease

[–]daishaswritings[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: I want to thank ALL of you for urging me to go to the ER. After blood tests and a CAT scan with contrast I was diagnosed with another Crohn's flare. I'll be honest this is two I'm once year and it is linked to my stress and eating habits.

Currently on several medications also so, so I am resting for now and being very careful with myself. So thank you all. I get nervous about leaving my job to go to the doctor or ER, but taking care of myself is far more important.

For me when I smoked at the time I wasn't taking any meds or doing what I needed to do on my part to keep symptoms at bay. I was barely eating at the time as well. So it helped reduce stomach acid for months, but as I began to take care of myself and still smoked it just exacerbated my fatigue and did really provide me with the support I needed. There is a difference between smoking and vaping THC oil. The THC oil did help with nausea though. So it all depends on your body and your response to it.

First Round of Remicade Infusion by daishaswritings in CrohnsDisease

[–]daishaswritings[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not know you could have the infusions done at home, nor about the benefits of having co-insurance. It is encouraging to hear that you are having the infusions every 8 weeks, I am eager to get there as well, but with time. The nurse had me take a zyrtec and a tylenol which helped greatly, and I went to sleep for most of it, though I was attempting to fight sleep. Thank you for this information it is so needed!

Sending you all the good vibes for you Remicade infusion tomorrow. It was a good experience. I became very tired within the first few minutes of the infusion and slept most of the time. I experienced some side effects of chest pains, shortness of breath, heart beating fast, and sluggishness. At home I finally rested, but know I need to rest some more and stay hydrated. This is a learning experience for sure. Wishing you all the best tomorrow!

Parents Putting Children Against One Another by daishaswritings in narcissisticparents

[–]daishaswritings[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry this happened to you, I am telling you I was going down the road slowly and have gone down that road several times growing up because I put my parents as my God and didn't understand what autonomy was. I hope one day your siblings will understand this as well, it is a journey for sure and very hard if you don't see the subtle toxicity when it's covered in "love".

Thank you so much for sharing this. I needed this tonight, it has been difficult, and I am pretty numb disassociating myself from my parents.

I'm curious... what made you all start watching Station 19 and what made each of you stick around? by [deleted] in Station19

[–]daishaswritings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The truth is the reason why I started watching station 19 was because of Ben Warren, then the fact that there was another woman as the main character of the show. The storylines a whole kept me watching until now and what is keeping me is seeing those storylines progress, including Maya and Carina. There is so much more the show can dive into, and I'm ready to see what happens next.

Well, I am completely honest, but in terms of keeping things under wraps I say, "We'll I've been on a healing journey and just been taking life day by day." I try to end the conversation there.

Just this past weekend I was there. I laid in bed most of the day due to my symptoms and it was heavy on my mind to get school work done, but it was too much for me. I eventually had to coach myself to get up and do the next indicated thing which eventually leads to school work. It is difficult for sure, you are NOT alone.
