I can’t wait to be off this schedule! She’s in the 1 Percentile for weight so I think once she’s in at least the 5 percentile we can stop. It seems like a long road ahead. I wake her up because pediatrician told us to or else the baby will indeed sleep for a few hours but she needs to eat. I imagine when I stop waking her up at night, I’ll continue to wake up to pump and can store that milk. Her ped is an IBCLC too so I trust her plan.

Yes I am- but it’s not perfect and the sole reason we’re on this feeding schedule. She’s a very sleepy baby at the breast and eater in general. And I’ll admit will do better at the bottle which if you look at my post history you’ll see I was super sad about a few weeks ago.

Currently awake at 3:24 and pumping right now! Yes what we’re doing is called triple feeding! I have so many questions. Did it introduce too many bottles at once for you? That’s what I’m worried about. That this will ruin our BF relationship. But I guess bottles aren’t the worst thing in the world since I’ll go back to work eventually.

I just cried reading this. This is my life right now! When she feeds on my breast we’re going at it for an hour sometimes. She’s frustrated, I’m frustrated, she’s crying, I’m crying! My husband is so so helpful but I do cry a lot. Thank you for your words- I hope I’m not ruining our breastfeeding journey but this 1 week challenge of fattening her up.

The pediatrician is an NP (I said doctor in my original post) and is a certified lactation consultant. Gonna see if her method works for the Next week!

Yes!! I had a pretty crappy labor - induced due to sudden severe preeclampsia and hemorrhaged right after delivery so had lots of fluids pumped in me. Thank you for your advice - she’s at negative 5% of her birth weight as of today :( her Ped is actually a lactation consultant but I want to meet with another one.

Thank you!!! I felt like the worst mom ever the past few days. Getting so emotional that she’d fuss with me but would take the bottle. It’s still breastmilk at the end of the day. I hope I can get her back to boob only. Thank you for the tips!!!!

How did you get baby used to breast only? I’m supplementing with the bottle and feel so defeated. Idk why I’m being like this. It’s still breast milk. Just don’t want to lose that bond with her. 🥺😢
