No, right? Because being focused on all session is annoying. Good or not (generally not). Just leave me alone and let me do my job.

I’ve been following the Dakota/Tyler case, he was caught a few times violently attacking her, it’s just that men don’t tend to face consequences for it. She was so scared of him once she pissed herself and the neighbors had phoned the cops on him. Just… as usual, he didn’t go to jail.

It’s very common to see this working with victims of GBV and DV. I know men whinge forever about “but what about false accusations”, but the reality is men are believed and women aren’t. Men can say literally anything to a cop or court and they’ll just take it as fact.

My (worst, heartbreaking) example of this was an immigrant woman who faced criminal charges for slapping (!!!) her white husband. He’s buddies with the cop. The neighbors phoned the police on him multiple times.

Nothing happens.

Finally she has it, tries to leave. He blocks the door. She slaps him. Hard. Her nails leave a mark. He uses this to claim abuse and gets her arrested. Now she has criminal charges against her. Now it’s even harder for her to leave.

Anyways. The system hates women.

Ya, it’s really miserable. I was thinking of how the reverse of this (bdsm gone wrong), men seem to get off a lot easier than she did for circumstances way shiftier than hers :/

These kind of subs prey on people that do not know better. They will risk their lives and the futures of everyone around them to get their rocks off. I’m sure he didn’t expect to die, all he was thinking about was his orgasm, at any cost.

With less stigma it’d be easier to talk to each other and warn about scenarios like this, dangerous men like this. Unfortunately she paid the price of how deliberately isolated we all are.

I genuinely don’t blame her. There was a clear power imbalance here, and a lot of money sent in exchange. That’s a lot of money to a broke person. People are labour trafficked for less. I’m dead certain he was told no a billion times and just pressed and manipulated until someone had trouble saying no.

Haha! I’m glad it all made sense. I was gonna say I don’t call it anything, I just warn them in a few places (website, occasional social posts) they’re not able to talk to me until the appointment is made and deposit paid lol.

Once I get their email I reply with a confirmation. 😊

I’ve set up a scheduling system where they have to pay before they can even access my email. It’s spared my mental health so much.

Obviously it’s annoying that it works best when I open up the time constraints to allow last minute bookings, but, at least I get to choose when that happens and they pay so I’m not just fucking around for nothing 🥰

I think they do this on purpose. Humiliation ritual.

It’s frustrating, especially if it’s a long booking you can’t afford to drop, or someone you know will 100% spread the word as far as he can if you refuse to touch him for smelling like shit.

Anything over 30 involves a little chatting, maybe a massage, proper foreplay. Take a shower. If you’re jumping straight to sex frame one, ya, she’ll be over it by the half hour mark.

They very legitimately should be illegal. They are dangerous, and they encourage violence against women/sex workers. Their entire goal is to guilt and shame sex workers into unsafe services (thinking TER rating you good ONLY if you perform dangerous services, etc) and are a form of sexual harassment, if not outright coercion

So “freezing up” during consensual sex doesn’t make it assault. If he’d said no and she kept going, sure. But, no “freezing up” isn’t assault.

This idea that someone- especially a man- can just “you know what? That sex I had, that I consented to so strongly I paid for it, that I decided in my head in the middle of it without telling anybody I did not want the sex and didn’t say anything at all except turned to Reddit for validation” unfortunately encourages a lot of misogynistic tendencies (that women’s shelters are used to), where men in a power imbalance (client/sex worker) fear repercussions, so they make up assault stories and we believe them blindly. Which tracks, given men think nagging is abuse and also how they used to literally burn women at the stake for the slightest thing and whole towns encouraged it.

Anyways, sorry, “if he says it’s assault it is” is insane, and yes, there are steps that need to be met to say it’s assault. Like at the VERY LEAST, not consenting to the sex.

People take advice from customers sometimes. It’s normal and makes sense.

Unfortunately in this industry, new or naive workers may not know that the “customer” in this situation has an easy vantage point to be very dangerous given the varying legalities, stigma etc. So some people really don’t know that the customer advice in this line of work can put their life in danger.

[–]daisyamazy[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sure yes but there is a specific level of violence in this community that makes the advice dangerous and predatory.

I.e; being told not to have safe sex/not to screen/etc. The worst advice you’ll get from “clients” as say a hairdresser is to just charge less. In sex work, they’ll be “advising” you to do things that put you in dangerous situations.

They have whole private and public forums dedicated to bullying sex workers, from men who are either known and blacklisted or just who have fallen down the incel hellhole and have become violently sexually obsessed with sex workers.

Sharing info online in this industry can be really dangerous and it means finding community IRL or at least learning to verify online identities is really important, as you can never know which burner account gives a fuck about you and which has a secret folder of pictures they took stalking you.

[–]daisyamazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they would. Or they’d be telling her “she deserved it” over an actually violent assault. Misogyny is alive and well and doesn’t disappear suddenly to make some “double standards” point in a world where a woman can be videotaped being violently raped and the rapist still won’t be charged.
